Breakfast was just adequate. Nothing fantastic, but clean setting. The lobby area was filled with fantastic metal sculptures done by the owner’s nephew. They were awesome!

Our bathroom needed painting, (rm 1113), and the tile floors needed to be steamed to clean the grout. The tile corners were dirty. The toilet was very low…very old. Higher ADA would be nice. The sleeping area was fine.

Bed comfort, room amenities and cleanliness of the property were very good. What I found really awesome was the metal sculpture art that is placed around the building. I'm a bit of a fantasy, movie geek and the sheer size, artistic quality and use of a variety of metal & industrial parts is truly admired. Though the location may be in the older city district, it was quiet and close to the freeway. We found some great restaurant options located in the city business district.

Unfortunately due to the co-vid 19 restrictions of this time period many of the services were not available such as the food service areas and pool area. Though the hotel is undergoing an extensive upgrade the main areas have been completed and the construction did not affect my stay. I look forward to visiting this Howard Johnson property again in the future.

Everything. I was a little unsure because it did not have great reviews and the price was low. When I walked in it was like a ghost town in the lobby. Once we got to our room though I was very pleased. Nice clean room with a large comfortable bed. Everything worked as it should nice area to get ready in the morning and plenty of light.

The courtyard area was not in the best shape get the right person on it and it could be a nice oasis to relax in. I would have liked to look out and see plants benches etc. Just in general Gallup New Mexico would not be a place I would stop in again. Just a rundown dirty town. It’s definitely a place to just lay your head down at night and move on.

Because of the covid situation the breakfast was grab and go. It's kinda luck of the draw if you get what you like. Most of the things in the breakfast I do eat but the flavors I didn't like.

Since I was a traveler with a lot of bags, I would have appreciated being given the option of an 1 St floor outside room. It would have been easier to carry my bags in. Just a few other choices on the breakfast won't also have been appreciated

Easy access off the interstate, staff were very friendly, bed was very comfortable and room was spacious. Due to COVID restrictions they were only providing a cold take-away breakfast rather than sit-down fare, but it was amazingly good! Overall great value.

Bathroom fixtures are aging and dated. Cleaning staff left a used towel from a previous guest hanging behind the bathroom door

When we arrived in our rooms and complained about the lack of heat, the Front Desk explained the heat had been centrally shut off and the AC turned on by corporate the week before due to higher temps. The cold front we were experiencing was unexpected. We were immediately moved to an even larger, inside room and a heater was provided. The hotel is undergoing renovations and the areas completed are beautiful. Our room was beautifully furnished, and the beds were very comfortable. The Lobby was filled with amazing reclaimed, metal sculptures. The hotel is massive and the whole area is undergoing revitalization. We were impressed with the hotel's participation. The value was beyond the highest rating you have. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The central heat had already been turned off and the hotel was freezing. Additionally, we were awakened by loud banging on a door that we thought was ours, followed by a very loud argument at 5:20am. When I mentioned it to the front desk a few hours later, we were told the guests a couple of doors down has been forcibly removed by the police after several complaints about the fight from other guests.

Loved the cheap price for all the amenities I got! Room had frig, microwave, coffee pot, iron, shampoo, cond, & lotion! Clean, comfortable, & very nice staff! I just stayed at another motel that cost me more, & it doesn't have any of the extra stuff! Really missed it!

The only thing I didn't like, was the $100 deposit that I didn't know I was going to be charged. Thank goodness I had it!

The hotel is old but very clean and well-kept.

Almost everything was great. It would be nice if the chair at the desk didn't have arms on it. With it adjusted up high enough to sit on, it wouldn't fit under the desk and blocks the hallway.

Didn't have breakfast, so no comment on that. Room very very clean & comfortable. Perfect size frig and micro for one person. Friendly greeting at check-in. Second stay here.

The side parking lot looks a little rough.

The hotel is a very nice hotel. There were sculptures in the lobby made out of auto parts, they were like bigger then human size. There were some very awesome. Sculptures that added a very nice touch to the hotel. The whole environment of the hotel and the staff made it a wonderful stay. Thank you.

The lady that works the morning shift was very rude and had a very unpleasant attitude!! If she doesnt like her job then she should find another place to work instead of taking it out on us customers! Dont know why she is still employed here. Besides her the stay was awesome! We didnt let her attitude brings us down or mess up our. Vibe
