Holiday Inn Express Santa Rosa, an IHG Hotel

The cleanliness, location and pool.

The front desk clerk was not rude but not nice. Also the hot tub was not working and breakfast Saturday was great, everything was available. But Sunday, a lot of stuff was out of order or not made. Why the difference for 1 day? I had pancakes Saturday and then it was out of order for Sunday. I'm not an egg person so there wasn't much options left. The yogurt I liked was out, there was no oatmeal and all that was left was bread. There was turkey sausage (yuck) but no regular sausage. Also the ice machines were out on the 2nd and 3rd floor.

Location was fine. The room was great with a comfortable bed and pillows. Actually these were some of the best pillows during our 12 days of travel. I only ate fruit for breakfast but my husband had eggs, sausage and a cinnamon roll all of which he thought were good. The room was quiet too. Hadn’t stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in years but this was a good stay. Coffee was excellent and staff were all friendly and helpful.

Lobby was a little cool but it was a rainy wintry evening.

Breakfast was very nice. There seemed to be a lot of dogs staying at this motel.I didn’t appreciate that dogs were allowed in eating area. One lady had 3 dogs!

Dogs should not be in a eating area as far as I am concerned.Some were very large dogs. We took our breakfast back to our room.

Location was great! Very easy on/off exits for highway. The bed was super comfortable. The air conditioning unit worked great. The room and hotel was nice and clean! What more could you ask for.

I’ve stayed in many Holiday Inn Express and this is probably the most expensive one yet. Before we got there I kept thinking this must be a really nice one. Not exactly. A little outdated, but that didn’t bother us. We still haven’t figured out why the cost was so high. Maybe it’s easy access to the highway. 🤷‍♀️

The girl at the front desk was very sweet. My first room had a very strong smell and there was a toothbrush on the floor so I was worried it hadn't been cleaned. She kindly moved me to another room and apologized. She was very professional and accommodating. I also felt very safe here. I reviewed a lot of locations on our travels across the country and Santa Rosa was one of the safest.

It was a bit outdated. Paint was chipping off the ceiling in the shower and the bed frame had cracks and chips on it. I also had a handicap accessible room but not handicap and when I went to shower, it was only a hand held so if you hung it up to wash your body, it sprayed straight forward and got the floor wet. Thankfully there was a drain in the middle of the bathroom. The mattress was hard. Eggs for breakfast tasteless. The price was WAY too high for what you get. I'm currently at a beautiful Hilton Home2Suites hotel in OKC and it was only $118 and it is completely updated with a kitchen. I paid $180 for one night here.

I had made a reservation through a booking company, but a couple of days later had changed it. The motel didn’t seem to know that and told us that our reservation was for the night before..I had documented it in case there was a problem, but they still honored our stay for that night. I had told the person at the desk I had already paid through a booking company, but she still charged me again.

Everything else! I stayed 06/13. The fd agents were friendly helpful and informative. From check in in the evening, check out, and the night audit who provided me extra bedding. Housekeeping did a great job preparing the room. The accommodations were spotless. The breakfast options in the morning were great as well! Also, thank you for doing the 30min reservation slots for the pool. I love IHG and your property is no exception.

The spa was unfortunately closed. But the pool and gym were great! Recommendation to mngmt: please provide proper uniforms/name tags to all the fd agents. It was confusing to tell who worked there and who was just a guest in the lobby.

The room was clean and a normal HIE experience. Comfortable and accessible. Breakfast was good. Friendly workers.

Room was a little warm since ac wasn’t on until we got there. Took about an hour to cool off. Unit may have needed some attention.

Santa Rosa is the perfect mid-trip stopping point between Dallas and Phoenix. The hotel is exceptionally clean, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is generous and delicious. Don’t waste your time at the other places in town. This is your best bet.

The Interstate truck noise can be pronounced on the first floor - ask for a third floor room.

check in perfect. got to room, no hot water. went to reception they moved us. second room coffee machine didn’t work. told reception and she said, yes they are temperamental. no apology. so yes we liked the hotel, just logistics were the problem,
