Taos Motor Lodge

This room had recently been remodeled!! I love that there was no carpet on the floor. The room was big and super clean. Check in and room staff were great!!! I really liked staying at a Motor Lodge. It was so easy to grab my suitcase n walk about 6 feet into my room! I was really impressed with the cleanliness inside and out. The parking lot/outside area was the cleanest I have experienced.

The only thing j did not like was you could hear the people in the room above walking and dropping things. It was hard to get to sleep. We were in room number 1. It was right next to the stairs. You could hear people you go up and down the stairs. I will ask for a different room next time.

The contemporary style of the room inside was surprisingly fresh! The way to check in the Lodge was awesome! Quick service to our needs upon arrival. Wow!! The bed was great and restful. The table and chairs were unexpected and much needed! The sofa was awesome too. We will definitely stay again.

The water pressure was low and didn't project further with the rain shower head but still able to shower. The light into the room was bright even after closing the shade, throughout the night. The TV with two remotes need a card to explain how to use. Restaurants were not nearby but we drove over a mile to get one fir dinner and breakfast.

The redone rooms were really nice, with great fixtures, etc. There is no breakfast, which was fine as, after all, you're in Taos, so there's Michaels Kitchen, the Taos Diner, all sorts of options. The location is south of town, which we were aware of to begin with. The room was comfortable, clean, the front desk was helpful in terms of extra coffee pods, etc. There is no maid service, which we prefer anyway. There was a nice fridge, which we used .

It's newly renovated and clean. Comfortable bed and air conditioning.

The closet that housed the coffee station and refrigerator was too large for the space. Every time my husband walked by it, he hit his elbow. There was no microwave. I am a tea drinker and it was a challenge to get the krurage coffee machine to make hot water. No type of breakfast or complimentary hot beverages because there is no lobby or central hub. For the price, a grab bag breakfast or snacks would have been nice.

Super clean and well maintained facility. Also was in a very convenient location right on Pueblo del Sur. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

The only downside was that my room had a large green exit sign inside the room which kept the room lighter than I would have liked. I suspect that when they remodeled they may have added an extra room (Room #1 which I was in) but I don't know that for sure. However, I consider that a very minor inconvenience.

The rooms were updated, stylish and clean, very comfortable bed. Great value but the place is being renovated, hence no lobby, no ice machine.

Such a popular place it fills up, probably every night, our check in was closer to 4 than 3 because they were still cleaning. Also no ice machine. They said they’re getting one soon and we did buy a bag just down the street. We had an upstairs room which could be a problem for some as there’s no elevator.

The Kachina Suite was perfect for our family of four. Definitely consider the upgrade to this room. Extremely fast Wi-Fi.

Minor complaints: the shower took a while to get hot and one out of the three televisions (not in a bedroom) would not connect

My kids and I are on a cross country road trip and this motel definitely exceeded all of our expectations. From the cleanliness, new/updated room, ease of checking in and out, communication via text from staff, and even the little touches in the room down to my favorite size coffee mug to enjoy my morning coffee. Highly recommend to anyone traveling thru town to stay here.

Really nice room, very modern & clean, feels newly renovated, comfy bed, great tv, keypad entry so you don't need to worry about keys, nice to have a fridge & coffee making facilities. The staff were friendly and let me check in an hour early which was appreciated.

My only suggestion would be black out curtains as it's very bright in daylight and at night with the walkway lights

When I arrived, the original room was too small for my long stay and they accommodated me by, upgrading my room so we would be comfortable. Which was amazing!

Nothing really, I did wish I had a broom to sweep the floor because I’m a little OCD when it comes to walking around barefoot .
