Residence Inn by Marriott Fishkill

Cleanliness, the great choice of breakfast we had, amenities-loved the pool and the gym. Loved that I could buy some ice cream by the lobby. Proximity to all the places we visited as well.

The pillows. They were so soft and no support. That’s all.

Good size, good kitchen, great walk-in shower, lots of storage, very comfortable bed, quiet, very clean, very impressive bathroom fixtures and ample surfaces.

No toaster. Even numbered rooms on 2nd floor look out on a rather ugly roof. Hard to find in industrial park area. Room smaller than other Residence properties. $50 more expensive than Roanoke Residence property.

The breakfast and breakfast snacks were just perfect for us even though there are great breakfast options locally (diner and fast food too). Laundry facilities are also very nice- clean and new. The room is clean and well appointed and the hotel staff are lovely. We are traveling with our dog and it was very nice to have her welcomed here too. We are staying for a few weeks and have not used the gym or pool yet but both look new and clean. Oh and also the hotel bar - a nice relaxing atmosphere to unwind after work and chit chat with other guests and bartender.

The TV that turned from the living room to the bed was very convenient. The living room space was a great addition as well. The staff was always very helpful and kind. Breakfast was a nice the morning we checked out but nothing fancy just the basics. I like this place because you can cook your own food and don’t need to keep ordering food. We made eggs and bacon in the morning, quesadillas for lunch and mashed potatoes, garlic and oil and spinach, and salmon for dinner! Plan ahead though, it only has two stove top burners and it’s electric. The full fridge was also very nice and we loved how the freezer made us ice. Overall a good place to get away with my love.

The stove top took forever to heat up, the pans were horrible to cook with, food kept sticking even if you buttered it up. The blankets were small and rough. There were some hairs in the bathroom shower and the plates and kitchen items were not cleaned well.

Exceptionally clean, large room size, detailed modern room design. I’d say that the housekeeping staff take their jobs seriously. Breakfast was good and staff were regularly checking in.

The buffet breakfast. Is there some central kitchen that services the universe? Would have liked some juice selections, ditto on breakfast pastry and containers of milk. They only had chocolate as an option

Staff were very courteous and helpful. Room was nice.. All things considered the breakfast was fine, except: one morning the eggs were a little - stiff, which was weird. And not as hot as it could have been. Otherwise, your typical hotel fare.

PILLOWS! They told after my complaints they were ordering new pillows, and I hope to God they did. Anyone knows a bad pillow can ruin your night's sleep, your neck, your whole hotel experience. Most of any bad marks against my stay here was this.

This was not their usual breakfast. In a bag...really?would have appreciated a discount for that meal. We wound up going to Res Line diner across the syreey
