RIT Inn & Conference Center

The staff at the RIT Inn and Conference Center were lovely and helpful. While I did have to request a room cleaning every day before noon, it was very easy to do. The room was cleaned every day and it looked great and smelled great. There is a Keurig machine in the room and the staff was happy to give us extra regular coffee K-Cups everyday, as we don't drink decaf. There is also a mini fridge and microwave. The pool areas, indoor and outdoor, were very clean and well maintained. I did not eat in the restaurants, but having them on site right in the lobby was convenient. There is also a very tiny, but convenient "shop" in the lobby for snacks. There was plenty of parking and the parking lot was well lit and felt very safe.

While my room was very, very clean, it was a bit dated. It could use a paint job and some more bright lighting. The lights, even when they were all on, still left the room very dim.

The room was nice and clean.

When I checked in one of the ladies, that wasn't helping me and made it her business to get into the conversation. I wish I had her name. I also did not like being woke up 2 mornings in a row with vacuuming outside my door around 8am. I was very tried and I couldn't go back to sleep. I really think this is way too early to vacuum. Also, the water spout to the bath tub popped off when I was taking a shower and hit me in the shin, it's very bruised and I think it will be fine. A man came and fixed it the next day.

The member of staff who checked us in could have been a bit more personable. I stood in front of the desk for several minutes before he even acknowledged me. He didn’t offer any information about the hotel, I had to ask where the rooms were stuff like that. All other staff were warm and friendly when we encountered them though and I wouldn’t let that one interaction with the front desk deter me from staying again or recommending to others

Even though my stay was 1 night only I loved that this was a carefully designed very attractive space to LIVE in! A lovely compact kitchen, real flatware & even some servingware, a toaster, microwave, coffee maker w/ some fixings, full [camp size] fridge w/a true freezer section; A DISHWASHER [dishwashing liquid, dishwasher soap packet, virgin wrapped kitchen sponge, paper towels]!!! Nice size clean bright bath with ample towels and little extras including drawers for use by longer stay guests, again a well planned space. Very comfortable beds, clean if simple linens. Very attractive layout of cabinets and drawers plus nice open wall shelves for storing or placing personal belongings. LOTs of working surfaces including a moveable meeting table tucked under a work counter. A closet with folding door & ample hangars plus a full ironing board w/iron. Great working tv & remote. Easy to use room key that works by simple proximity [convenient with mostly full hands]. Very good reasonable assortment of hot & cold breakfast options with pleasant common area in which to sit and eat. Incidentally, Homesuites2 is in one corner of a Mall area so lots of eating options in walking distance. Ample parking. I could have lived here for a couple weeks, even with a fellow traveller or two, and it would be excellent.

One item only was a slight problem: the floor to ceiling window had a blackout full privacy inner roller shade that worked a little hard going up and down. It was partly off track when I arrived - someone hadn't been able to get it up without a minor jam which I corrected, but it still pulled pretty hard.

There was an indoor pool and hot tub as well as an outdoor pool. The outdoor pool was lovely. We enjoyed swimming in it but when we went inside we were not allowed to use the hot tub because they did not have a second lifeguard on duty. I had planned to spend my afternoon and evening enjoying all of these luxuries and was extremely disappointed.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Having a live plant in the room is a nice touch!!

The curtains barely covered the window and I had to use a hair clip to keep them closed. Being on the first floor made this a necessity. The coffee cups in the room do not have lids, which made it problematic for me to take my coffee with me when I checked out. I reserved my room for a total amount (including taxes) of $346.80. When I checked in, the page I had to sign showed that you were charging my room $433!! Although when I checked out, the invoice showed that my card was charged $346.80, I did not like the "incidental approximation" that was held on my card!

The ladies at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy. The hotel, dining areas, public bathrooms, conference room, hotel room were all immaculately clean, hats off to the cleaning staff.

The selection in the bar/restaurant was the same as the cafeteria area. Extremely poor alcohol and wine selections. The food overall in both areas need ALOT of work to complete with others in the industry, taste wise. However, the selections for what they offered was beyond fantastic in the cafeteria.

The lobby looked nice and welcoming. The room seemed clean. There was the option to have breakfast delivered to the room from Petals restaurant which was great. Check out was at noon which was even better, didn’t feel the need to rush.

The carpet seemed dirty. After I showered my feet started to look black. There was no shower liner so water got all over the floor. The bathtub faucet looked like it was going to pop off, the pipe was visible.

I liked the rooms facing away from Interstate 90. I loved that windows could be opened in the rooms. I was also pleased with how accommodating and helpful the front desk manager was.

In total, I stayed in three rooms. In two of the rooms, the bathtub plug was broken, so guests could not take a bath. Also, some of the furniture was scuffed and worn, or stained. The first room, which was facing the thruway, also faced the roof of the building. There was significant noise from the thruway and the exhaust fans on the roof of the building, which made it difficult to sleep.

This is my second time staying at Rit. We love it there!!! All the staff are exceptional!!! Everything is clean and comfortable. The staff at the Petals Restaurant are always helpful and Friendly. We always enjoy the hot tub and pools!!! Looking forward to our stay next year,!!!

There is nothing that we don't like!!! I would highly recommend this hotel!!!
