Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah, an IHG Hotel

Lobby was beautiful, we liked the fish :), we were happy to see an exercise room, room was nice, beds very comfortable

We found a cleaning cloth in the bathroom sink and some hairs in the sink. Otherwise the room was clean and inviting. The other item is not a complaint at all, just a suggestion. As kosher travelers we are used to finding packaged items at breakfast with kosher certification. Because your breakfast was actually nicer than we are used to there were only one or two items that we could eat since anything cooked or unpackaged wasn't an option. As you are in a very kosher area it might be nice to have some packaged muffins or bagels available. Obviously we knew that there was no guarantee and we were satisfied with what we were able to eat.

Friendly and helpful staff and delicious breakfast! I called the desk to request someone bring up a microwave, and they brought one up in just a few minutes. The shower has proper shampoo, conditioner and body wash in a normal bottle with a pump attached to the wall, not those little sample things you normally see in hotels. We forgot our toothbrushes on our trip, so I went down to the front desk if they have any for guests and they did and a little toothpaste too.

Mattress was too soft for our liking, we like firm. Mini fridge was positioned awkwardly in the cabinet at the foot of the bed so it was awkward bending down in that little space to get in and out of it. Signage for guest laundry room took us to completely the wrong place.

Hello! what can i say about this hotel? convenient check-in from the highway, excellent hotel, starting with very friendly and professional staff at the reception, quick check-in, value for money 10 out of 10 points. a large atrium, very nice, there is a small fish pond which is quite interesting, there is a bar, there is a restaurant, and large areas for relaxation. the room was very clean, the furniture was not worn out, it was comfortable, everything was enough. Very nice and friendly people at breakfast, very tasty, Mega clean and comfortable, it was delicious cooked. the impression after this hotel is just perfect.

It was a very quiet stay and the complimentary breakfast was actually good. We had the place to ourselves; not much travel the weekend before Christmas it seems. We needed a place to stay that wasn't too far from home as we left to attend a wedding the night before we had planned due to an impending snowstorm at home. Easy to book and the common spaces were decorated well and had a very open and welcoming feeling. It had a central location and was easy on and easy off to the freeway the next morning. A decent place to stay if you need a spot, but I wouldn't want to stay for more than a night or two.

Staff that greeted me was meh. She wasn't very welcoming. The room was dated; very much in need of an upgrade and a baseboard in the bathroom had been attached poorly. But the worst was the bed. It was very soft and lumpy and needed a replacement. I woke up multiple times with my hips and my back aching. The grandeur of the entry downstairs is not matched by the room.

The ladies who took care of the room service were fabulous. Super Sweet:). Shower had good pressure. Maintenance brought in a new refrigerator right away.

An older lady (not the young sweet lady or gentleman at the front desk) She would just charge your credit card in the middle of the stay…. I was charged the cost of the room ( which was fine) But charged (pending) 3Xtimes $ 200.00. When asked she said I was checking your Amex was VALID followed by an lengthy trickery excuse. When I already paid over 700.00, and had a balance of 600.00 at the end of my stay for an upgrade in my room.

Location was great, set in a very nice suburb.

At the time we stayed, clearly there was a wedding party which just seemed to take over the whole place which did make you feel like you were in there way. Some advice to the hotel, if you are aware this is a big party stick them all on the same floor as the noise and slamming of doors went on till 3am and I specifically asked for a quiet room as I wanted to watch the Kings Coronation which we did on your nice big TVs

This is my second visit to Crowne Plaza. Each time I’ve stayed here the staff was always friendly and accommodating. Everyone greeted me with a smile. I was especially impressed with Heather H she was there in the restaurant on Sunday morning Mother’s Day. she was extremely pleasant and made we feel valued when I went in for my breakfast. Because of the outstanding service I wouldn’t want to stay any place else.

Everything. It is exactly what you would expect from Crown Plaza, perfection. Everything was as described and pictured, immaculately clean and very comfortable. Plenty of space. The breakfast buffet was marvelous to include a chef making individual omelets. We were lucky enough to be there during a Jewish wedding and we heard no sound from the party in our room. I highly recommend this place.

The location was great.

room I stayed in was dirty. Visible streaks of spilt liquids which had not been cleaned and the carpet was dirty with significant stains. Room was freezing cold and to turn off AC, and make it warmer could only be done by maintenance. Hence the room was uncomfortable to stay. I have been coming to this hotel for years but the standards have significantly declined.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. There should be more pictures taken and posted for guests to be able to see the layout. The area by the restaurant and bar is beautiful with a waterfall and pond with fish. Very clean. Very comfortable will be staying here again.

My only complaint would be the breakfast. Apparently we needed vouchers which were not given to us upon check in and the breakfast was to be included in the price of the stay. So when we went to sit down we were told we had to get the vouchers to eat. Once we got our food from the buffet it looked good and was a nice variety of choices but everything was cold and had been sitting. Other than that it was a very nice stay.
