Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Watertown Thousand Islands

Breakfast was great! I really appreciated the eco-friendly environment and attention given to a variety of healthy and natural foods (you had oat milk and oatmeal with lots of dried fruit, pumpkin seeds, etc.!), as well as breakfast staples. As a tea drinker, I loved the variety of teas you had available! And... you had cookies for us in the lobby :) I cannot overstate how much I appreciated the large and very comfortable/adjustable desk set-up in the room! I had a lot of work to do while I was there, and had all the space I needed to spread out books and papers. Room was spacious and very clean. Lots of available parking and in a nice, quiet area away from all the traffic and noise. Location was excellent for us, as about 20 min. from Clayton (where my husband was attending an event) and close to the highway. Staff were warm, friendly and always helpful! A-1!

Honestly can't think of anything!

We were staying here to help our son clear out his apartment and to see him off for a 9-month deployment with the Army. His flight was delayed twice so we had to extend our time. The front desk staff was super accommodating for us. The hotel is very pleasant, very well-located convenient to the main road through Watertown, I-81, restaurants, shopping centers, Walmart, Target, etc. Cleaning staff also was friendly and efficient. Beds were very comfortable. We were in a suite for all but one night and the sitting area was well arranged and comfortable. We appreciated having a guest laundry room on the premises with reasonable prices ($1 compared to $5-7.50 at downtown laundromats). The breakfast was adequate but unexceptional - they had some hot items, which was nice. Overall the hotel created a very pleasant impression, with an attractive lobby and breakfast area and a business section with printer (which we didn't have to use).

Little things - the breakfast would have been improved greatly by a self-serve pancake or waffle maker. Signs pointed to "ice and vending" but only ice machines were available, no vending (you had to buy any snack items from their small store at the front desk and the prices were pretty high). As noted above, we appreciated the laundry room, but 1 of 2 washers and 1 of 2 dryers were out of action for the duration of our 5-night stay. The in-room refrigerators are small dorm-size fridges.

I thought the breakfast area and the food choices were very nice, with several options. I was very pleased with the front desk staff person who came to my room to help me adjust the air conditioning. She was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. An added bonus was the Weinermobile parked in the parking lot. Everyone was taking selfies. Very cool.

Extremely friendly staff and great service

There was no option to turn off the vent at night, even though the AC was off the unit kept blowing air at a fairly high rate and that somewhat hindered our sleep. The staff really tried to find us a satisfactory solution but there should be a way to shut the unit off if we wish so.

The staff were extra friendly and helpful. We were an extended family group, booked into 3 rooms, and all the rooms were large and comfortable, we'll maintained and very clean. We had a nice sitting area in our room where the group could gather in the evening to talk. The location was perfect for our outings between Watertown, Chaumont, and the St. Lawrence.

Walls are super thin. Could hear conversation in the next room and people above us sounded like they were going to come through the floor when walking around.

We loved the heated pool. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.

It would be nice to have free coffee and tea available all day. The pillows where it that comfortable. Our room was to close to the elevator, it was noise beeped when the door opened.

The hotel makes a wonderful first impression with the white fence surrounding it . The room was clean and very comfortable . Staff was wonderful and breakfast was great . It was a wonderful stay !

Comfort of beds. Hot breakfast available.

Room was billed as "ACCESSIBLE" for person with a handicap. The only feature that could count as "Accessible" was a bar near the bathtub. Toilet seat was not regulation "handicapped height". Bathtub was not easy to get into. I was using a rollator walker, but had I been in a wheelchair, I would not have been able to climb into the shower. Thank you for asking!
