Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Watertown - Thousand Islands, an IHG Hotel

I addressed the breakfast below. The staff was very friendly and the room was was clean.

As a Celiac, the breakfast was not Gluten Free friendly for me. I brought my own rice cakes, hard cooked eggs, gluten free bread. The hotel breakfast had tea, juice and yogurt that I was able to eat. The bananas were not ripe. The room was not serviced. I was exiting the shower when housekeeping knocked and I asked her to return in fifteen minutes, but she did not come. Also, the hotel did not honor their statement that they price match. I could have stayed at another nearby property for less money and asked about the price match. I stayed at this property because other wedding guests were staying there.

The staff! They were absolutely so helpful and understanding. Me and my friend are both 18 and when we arrived the staff let us know Holiday Inn changed the age limit a week before our stay to 21. But since no one let us know they let us stay anyways. The staff told us on our way out that they received no complaints about me and my friend and that they appreciated how respectful we were and understanding. We were there for a comic con convention. And we were in our costumes at checkout. The manager took photos with us and even said we could email her personally if we booked again and we would be allowed to stay. I really appreciated the kindness shown to me and my friend. And the place itself was lovely as well. Very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and breakfast was lovely. The pool was also heated and very relaxing. If we are in the area again I will have to reach out and stay again. Beautiful area and hotel.

There was only one complaint from my friend that they room smelled very strongly of chemicals when we arrived. But we had an air purifier with us so it wasn’t much of a problem really. Besides that we had a wonderful stay!

The complimentary breakfast was better than any local restaurant. The staff was very attentive and kind. Great location for visiting my son near Ft Drum. The bed was comfortable. The "jacuzzi room" was an extremely nice bonus.

Very minor - the sounds of cars going by. The shower curtain was too short and not wide enough for our shower. The floor would get wet as a result.

I was able to check-in fairly quickly. I noticed how clean the commons areas were. My room was very clean/neat as well. I was also happy to know that I was able to use a side door to enter and exit as some places have issues with their card readers.

I unfortunately had very rowdy neighbors, which was at no fault of the hotel staff. I also am not a fan of the breakfast bar. I feel that it could be better for what it’s worth.

The staff was exceptionally courteous and informative. I got to the hotel before check-in and the front desk representatives along with housekeeping work diligently to for me to have a early check-in. I was there for a funeral, and it was my birthday as well, so it was a bittersweet moment, with that said the Front Guest Reps was awesome.

I’ve stayed at this hotel periodically over the past few years. It’s a convenient location to shopping, restaurants and local attractions; and adjacent to the main interstate to Fort Drum (US Army 10th Mountain Division) and the Thousands Island Bridge to Canada. The rooms/beds are clean and comfortable. Staff is always friendly and responsive to guest questions or concerns. The breakfast provided includes excellent coffee, hot food items, fresh pastries and fruit.

There’s is nothing I dislike about this property.

The hotel was in a good location, and the staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was also very clean, and given the current situation with COVID, being clean is an excellent thing. And they had coffee all day long, LOL. I will stay there the next time we are in the area.

The only thing that I did not like about the hotel was the breakfast that was offered. The selection was not that good, you do however have the choice to go right across the street to other restaurants (which we did).

Nora, the front desk clerk, was very nice and professional. You couldn't have asked for a more friendly welcome. The extra cot and towels were already in our room which was very nice. The cleaning lady (didn't get her name) was very friendly also.

At 10pm we had 3 boys knocking on our door and running away. They did it about four times. Not a hotel problem it was a parent problem. Also, being in room 206 there was a very loud noise humming all night. Not sure what it was but, it was a little annoying.

The front receptionist, Carla, was phenomenal. I was traveling with my two children, whom are both under five, and my oldest was so excited to go in the pool. There was no open spots to go swimming the day we checked in so she put us for the next day, (which was totally fine.) Later that night, we were getting ready for bed and Carla called my room stating that a family backed out and there was an opening to go swimming if we still wanted it. Of course we took it. My kids were so ecstatic and I couldn't have thanked her enough for thinking of us when a swimming opportunity sprung. We had an amazing stay and Carla made it more enjoyable.

Breakfast was good with many options. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. Hotel is close to highway which makes it convenient when traveling. There were many restaurants within walking distance.
