Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte Southpark

The location was great. The facilities were clean and well lit. The young lady that checked us in Sat (around 5p) was awesome! The parking was free. It was just a few minutes from Southpark Mall.

I was charged $20 more by the hotel than what my Booking.com reservation had. I asked about it at check out but there was no attempt to rectify the issue. He just told me the new price and the difference between the two amounts (which I had obviously already seen hence why I opened the conversation 😒). He referred me to Booking.com to fix it instead of them honoring the rate I was given.

Hilton Garden Inn in Southpark exceeded my expectations. This particular establishment is very luxurious. The Lobby is beautiful, rooms are spacious enough, nothing out dated, no weird odors. Staff was helpful and very friendly. Plenty of places within walking distance to enjoy although everything you need is on site.

What I didn't like was the traffic jam at the entrance door, people for whatever reason leave their vehicles parked in the way of other guests trying to check in or out.

Rashid was a complete gentleman. The team managing the breakfast menu was a complete delight. The room was as expected and the building was well maintained. The exception was the staff. I will come back because of the staff. They were perfect.

I'm struggling to think of anything I actually didn't like. Perhaps the parking could be organised better. But it is minor

The hotel was clean, rooms were in fantastic shape. The bed slept very well and I must say the elevators were incredibly fast and efficient (not normal these days it seems). The breakfast staff were friendly and fast as well. Overall, no issues outside of the delayed check in, which I think was just due to them being close to capacity the weekend we came and it being during Covid, and impacts to worker availability if I had to guess.

We arrived at 11pm for a late check-in, and we did have to wait almost an hour for our room to be cleaned and ready. However, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and apologetic. They gave us the choice of free drinks at the bar or free breakfast, and also adjusted our nightly rate down for our weekend stay without even asking for anything. The ice machine on the 4th floor was also not working, not a huge deal.

The cleanliness of the room, spacious, well decorated. Breakfast was delicious! I liked that the room was cool when we arrived, thank you!

The bathroom door is so very heavy and cumbersome. When first arrived, someone at the front desk, a female, had her back to us and was leaning on the counter to the back. This behavior was highly unprofessional. All other staff very friendly, helpful, and efficient.

The room was spacious and modern. I appreciated the property’s location to Southpark Mall.

At check-in, I requested that my room be cleaned the next day. I was out ALL day and when I returned at 11pm, I found that my room hadn’t been cleaned. Very disappointing indeed!

Had to request clean, replacement sheets because the sheets had stains. The replacement sheets weren't much better but we made it work.

Parking lot: Clean but if we're being charged to park there should be a gate limiting access especially since there was a safety issue by someone who clearly wasnt paying to park.

Very clean room. Staff was very good and adjusted our accommodations when requested. Location of hotel was great.

No housekeeping unless requested. Confusion over free breakfast inclusion.

Hotel was very clean and nice

We slept on the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on, me and my wife both barely slept spent all night tossing and turning and woke up with a sore back, shoulders, and neck the next morning, the pillows were bad as well no matter what your head would just fall right through the pillow.

The breakfast was great! The hostess was very kind and welcoming. Great accommodations. Loved the area that hotel was in, close proximity to restaurants and shopping!

The ice machine was broken on my floor (4th).
