Charlotte Marriott SouthPark

Facility was close to everything, was there for a family event,checked in around 11pm, Friday night, was raining very hard, caused late check in. Facility was very nice.

Parking was very difficult, even in the ACH parking area, no parking was available, we had to wait for parking, had to take our luggage out of our Nissan trunk, then squeezed vehicle in to the ACH 2nd level parking area.

I was welcomed as soon as I walked in. They made me feel like family. Refreshing water with fruit at the entrance for guests as well.

I did have a small hiccup with my room in the beginning. I was given keys to another guests room but I don’t fault the receptionist because she was distracted as she was checking me in. But had those guests been in their room, it could’ve been bad.

Very friendly staff each night I was there. I was alone but felt safe. When I checked in it was a full hotel and my room was last to be ready that day but still just as clean and fully stocked. Very comfortable beds! Locals in the area were very nice as well, I’d love to stay here again when I come back to Charlotte.

We have stayed at the Southpark Marriott at least 30 times, always with a cat. When we checked in this last time, we were told that the hotel no longer allowed cats. A month ago we stayed at Southpark with a cat with no problem. Your website says that cats and dogs are allowed upon payment of an extra cleaning fee. Has the policy changed or were the desk employees uninformed as to the policy in this regard. We stayed at the Double Tree instead.

Front desk employees were polite, friendly, and efficient. Beautiful lobby, bar/restaurant, health club, and swimming pool. Walking distance to specialty shops, restaurants, and South Park mall.

Towel service for the room was slow. Had to call twice. We enjoyed a light breakfast - yogurt and croissants -- but a bit pricey.

Expensive but fine.

First room placement was on low floor overlooking the A/C units even though the reservation was made in advance. After complaining, we were moved to a higher floor with a much better view. The employees were kind and helpful.

Soo very nice and the kindness that was provided.. from the customer service desk and lounge or restaurant wonderful love it all I'm very happy and please to say this is the place I'll staying moving forward 😀

Everything else was great..

Smoking area.. limited snacks and drinks.. especially during covid-19 places close early now it's the best time to offer more options. Really didn't like that I couldn't even buy a soda but you have beer.. and maybe a select few chips.. and I was hungry, no microwave to heat food which Is not good being tht restaurants close early.. Hint: I love food by the way.. we all do!!!

We both love walk-in shower with a glass door. The bathroom is fancy and very clean which is what I expect for a 4-star hotel. The bed sheets and blankets are very comfy. I like the extra couch in the room.

Nothing that needs to be addressed. The shampoo and conditioner have an unusual scent - I personally like the typical scent like what you can find at a pharmacy store. But this is just my opinion (I brought my own shampoo and body shower anyway.)

There was a constant loud noise throughout the night. Like a can of soda dropping out of a vending machine, but inside your room. Jet lag prevented me to care about it though. Overall, great stay!
