Homewood Suites By Hilton Rocky Mount

The room was fabulous--spacious and clean and very comfortable. The lobby/seating areas were lovely. The morning front desk staff kept the breakfast station spotless and were very friendly.

We chose this hotel because of the pool, but saw no mention of its closure on the Booking.com site--and even used the pool as the single "Amenities" filter for hotel selection. My expression of disappointment--that's how I put it--to the front desk woman at check-in was met with a "well, it's on the website, if you check under extra information." I was not pleased. Then I was given a sheet to sign with all the relevant information about the room but not given a copy of that information. It made no sense.

Did not do breakfast. So many people not wearing masks and no social distancing , we did not feel safe doing breakfast.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel once before. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful the staff was. The breakfast was great, and the hotel was clean and beautifully decorated. I booked again with this last trip, and because of the good experience here, I've tried to book Homewood Suites for each of my stays along my way.

I have no complaints at all. Traveling alone, I requested a lower floor with an easy access to my car, and the staff made every effort to do so!

The moment I walked in, I was impressed with the feel of cleanliness and the welcoming atmosphere. I loved the Fall decorations, and the wonderful hello from the desk receptionist, CASSANDRA! The precautions everywhere for COVID, were reassuring of a non-problematic stay. Everything I needed was there at the Hotel in their store and social area. All the other employees were welcoming and pleasant.

The only thing I have to mention, in a negative way, is that the cleaning person (Room 228) neglected to run the dishwasher after the previous guest. At first, I thought she forgot to unload after washing them. But in looking closer, there were stains on a plate. However, this will not cause me to not stay here again. I have found a wonderful place to stay so that my 10 hour trip a few times a year is not so stressful and above all, It Will Be Comfortable!!

We were welcomed immediately by staff! They were happy! The attendant got us all checked in and let us know about breakfast! The hotel smelled so clean and not to mention it was beautiful. When we opened the doors to our room it was clean, spacious, and had a ceiling fan! We were impressed with the kitchen area and all the utensils. As we left the hotel for dinner we were asked by the front desk attendant was everything okay with our room. I have stayed at hotels where I have had to initiate the concern. The attendant asking that question made me feel if there had been a concern she was ahead of it. Lastly, we woke up super early to get to dance competition and during check out, morning attendant was as happy as the evening staff! She welcomed me, told me to grab breakfast and I quickly ran over there and grabbed the to go boxes and she said well did you grab juice, I said no, she said so go get you some, and she said can I get you a bag (she saw my hands were full and she then grabbed me a bag! I will forever stay here for future competitions and tell all of my friends to do the same! This was my favorite hotel ever! Thank you to all of the staff!

Everything was perfect!

Plenty of room for us and our daughter and 2 grandkids. There was 5 of us and spacious enough that we were not on top of each other. The kitchen was a definite plus for our granddaughter who has severe food allergies.

The amount of pets because my granddaughter and myself are allergic. We were aware that it was pet friendly so we did not complain. Wish there wasn’t carpeting for that reason.

Breakfast was very good. The staff was top tier. Jasmine and the other front desk lady (whose name escapes me) were friendly, polite, professional and genuine. The cleaning staff were top notch as well. I realize how difficult it can be to deal with the public during the best of times and with all the added stresses of the holidays and the anxiety of the pandemic factored in, it can be really difficult to maintain an even keel yet the housekeeping ladies did a wonderful job. They were sweet and pleasant. I could see the effects of everything in their eyes but they brushed it aside and made our stay truly enjoyable. They, along with the rest of the hotel staff, are what sets this hotel apart from every other one I have been to during my travels. Do what you must to keep them. Pay them well and treat them right and your hotel will continue to make money and be my 1st choice whenever I travel.

I have noticed hotels in the past and your have curtains open. I like to sleep/take naps during the day and sunlight bothers me. But this is not the first hotel I face this dilemma. What is the purpose of 20% closed dark curtains? Unless I am totally stupid and they close somehow

Breakfast was way better than most

A/C I hate it so bad, you guys program the ac to turn on after 85 degrees, it was so hot for us. My home ac is always around 68. We sweat a lot, night were uncomfortable. You could turn it down a few degrees but it would stop and start the program it was set at.

Very Clean and updated, nicely decorated, room is spacious and comfortable. You can tell this hotel takes pride in keeping the place sanitized and clean. The staff from the front desk was professional and welcoming. Miriam at the kitchen who we spoke to when we had their complimentary breakfast was sweet and made sure we were taken care of. I was very happy staying here and will def visit again as well as refer my friends when they are traveling. I loved that when you walk in the staff says “Welcome Home”.
