Hyatt Place Columbus Polaris

Well managed hotel … the breakfast was always fantastic, the food was always attended. The kitchen staff cooked fresh eggs and meats frequently everyday for the entire week. The kitchen went above and beyond to keep fruit and vegetables fresh cut and all juice and amenities ready for the entire breakfast time from 5 till 10am. The tables and coffee and dining areas were always tended to all through their shift. Very easy to see they have out done their expectations by a mile. Thank you for putting such care into your work!

The chlorine level was extremely excessive inside the pool area / it is indoors and not properly ventilated. It was probably not noticed but would be something to consider.

Everything. From pulling in, to check in, especially walking in my sparkling clean new room, super quiet, and the best sleep I've had in weeks!

the breakfast was good, location was great and far enough from the highway that there was no noise whatsoever. we really liked the walk-in shower, especially for the older people in the group. provided toiletries had a pleasant smell. pool was nice and pool towels were replenished pretty frequently. every interaction was handed well and we had no problems at all. would definitely stay there again!

if i had to find a criticism, the coffee was empty at breakfast one morning, but more was still brewing. it wasn't overlooked, just slow to brew. we loved everything else

My bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed the modern room. So glad that the carpets have disappeared, at least in this Hyatt. I really was not expecting such a fancy breakfast and since I am vegan really was glad to see there was oat milk and steel cut oats available. I also enjoyed the bottled water filling station at the water fountain and the cold water infused with oranges in the lobby!

The only thing I could ask for that was not there would have been a microwave but I understand that there may be higher level rooms or suites that have them and I did not choose one. I got a long fine without one and was glad there was a refrigerator as I needed to refrigerate the non-dairy milk that I purchased before I arrived at the hotel.

The hotel was beautiful. The outside seating area was amazing. Loved winding down at the end of the night with a drink out by the fire. Our room was perfect and bed was comfy. Fresh clean linen. Towels were restocked even without asking for more. The complimentary breakfast was very good both mornings. So many options of what to eat. The staff was super friendly. The late night pizza I had at 10:30pm from the bar area was great for a hotel pizza. The pool area was nice and clean. The shampoo and conditioner provided in the room was really nice, left my hair really silky and soft. The wayer.pressure was great as well. The whole stay was just fantastic will deff be using this hotel when we visit Columbus again.

The only thing I didn't like was how warm the room was the pool was in but sure that is necessary for a hotel indoor pool. The pool itself once.in the water felt great.

Upon arrival, we were helped when we approached the front desk. The checked in process was seamless and we came directly to our room. The room was very clean and had several amenities. The space was perfect! The features of the room were modern and had a nice esthetic. During our stay, D'Angelo assisted with a minor issue with the toilet not flushing properly but he was able to fix the issue. We were offered something for the inconvenience. He also gave recommendations for enjoying the city and was very friendly! This hotel also offers continental breakfast until 10am.

The hotel could provide microwaves in every room or on every floor that has the ice machine room. The only microwave is on the first floor in the breakfast room.

What amazing staff! This was a rough trip for us. We were in town for a funeral. When we mentioned this to Stephanie at check in, she was so compassionate. She also gave us a tour of the pool and gym and she answered all my questions. Then the next morning we met Nisa. At one point I mentioned the funeral and she was also genuinely compassionate. I have no idea how she cooks all that food, keeps everything stocked, and takes care of everyone with a smile on her face. Please make sure you show both of these ladies appreciation. Besides that we loved the fact that the room waa large, clean, comfortable, and that there was a separate sitting area. My grandson loved the pool & gym. Location couldn't be more perfect. Tons of shopping & dining.

The heating system was a bit loud

This was an absolutely incredible stay for me. I’m blown away. On a last-minute booking, I was given a corner room on the top floor with floor to ceiling windows. This room was spotless, modern, comfortable, and cool! The bathroom was gigantic and the living space was separated from the sleeping space, which was perfect for someone traveling alone who wants to feel visually separated while resting from where they work and eat. Absolutely one of my favorite hotel stays in years.

Not a big issue, but my room was part of an adjoining row of rooms, and there was a family in the next room with very loud children, which was made louder by the fact that they would repeatedly open and close the adjoining room door or scream and run around near it. Just something to be aware of when checking in, might want to ask if you’ll be in an adjoining room.

The over-night clerk was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean upon arrival and had everything we needed.

When booking the room I stated that I would be a late check-in and I would contact the property when I knew exact time. I did call to let them know we wouldn't arrive until around 2 AM. I was charged an additional fee and when checking out I questioned said fee and the male clerk stated that the system didn't have me checking out until the following business day. This was not the case, in fact I was there less than 10 hours before checking out. He assured me that he would take the charge off. I certainly hope so as it's still pending on my account.

Very updated facility. We had a queen double room with a pull out sofa. The room was very spacious and had plenty of room. Breakfast was great. There were lots of options, and they actually had bacon as well as sausage. Also, many other breakfast options like waffles and eggs(scrambled and boiled) cereal yogurt bagels and oatmeal as well as fresh fruit options bagels toast and donuts. The pool was nice but we didn't swim. The whole place was super clean. Will be back.

This hotel does have a bar that stays open at 2am, so it can get kinda noisy. However, it was not a super inconvenience. we just took the side doors to our room.
