Red Roof Inn Portsmouth - Wheelersburg

Impeccably--even aggressively--clean hotel with a very friendly staff. It's also close to restaurants and gas and markets. The area isn't exactly pretty, but if you're staying here you're probably just passing through or need a bed while visiting family, so you won't be expecting a majestic view or resort-like ambiance.

Area is gritty, rooms look out over an expanse.of cracked and pitted parking lot towards light industrial/healthcare buildings.

Check in with a smile and genuine interest in our comfort despite the late hour. Clean comfy room with good water pressure, mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave- all the necessary comforts. Breakfast was just Ok but we weren’t expecting much.

There was some road noise and a train nearby but running the fan helped mask that - we slept just fine.

The beds were comfortable and clean! The room was clean! From the time I arrived in the lobby until the time I left the staff was great! Great room at a proper rate!

The only way to better it would be a little stronger water head and we were unlucky they were waiting on a replacement waffle maker but nothing major at all.

The location for us is key. It is close to the trade shows we attend for work each year. The bed was super comfortable as always. The area is safe and not a lot of noise.

The bathroom was in poor repair and the refrigerator did not work right.

It was located close to restaurants, clean, the staff were awesome.

you had to walk near the road to go around to the office. they didn’t have like a walk thru.

Beds were so comfortable!! Linens were clean. Really enjoyed our room. Always so nice to find a good clean one since we travel with pets and red roofs can be hit or miss.

That our rooms still have carpet - gotta say the carpet is actually in pretty good shape tho. The outside of the hotel looks sketchy when you pull in. But once your in your room it’s actually a really nice good value room.

Very clean. Hot shower. microwave and refrigerator in room which was nice.

Noisier than expected as close to main road as well as train tracks with frequent trains! We had issues keeping room at comfortable temp. A/c would cool off room then shut off and it would get warm. Also a/c kinda on loud side which didn’t bother us per say Bc we sleep with fan for white noise but may bother people who are light sleepers or need quiet.Minimal water pressure in shower.

The room was comfy and clean. The beds were comfy and the facility was in good shape. The staff was nice and friendly. We didn’t have any trouble checking in.

We got to the office area about 8:30 and the door was locked, no one was inside and there was no breakfast out. The worker told us when we checked in the times of breakfast but it wasn’t out.

Friendly, helpful staff. Room was clean and cable tv was nice. Room had everything I needed, fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer, etc.

Road noise and train could be heard from the room. Heater was a little loud and kicked on often.

rooms was clean and faculty was very friendly! our daughter left an item behind and the manager/owner had no reservations about mailing her left behind item to us! I will always stay at this hotel when I’m in town!!
