Bill in the Cafe/Bistro was the most amazingly friendly, warm and welcoming guy. He was full of useful information, historical knowledge about the hotel and the area in general. He actually made the whole stay really memorable for us..

The hotel is spectacular but needs a little attention and love and care in places. Needs updating a little. The rooftop bar and patio seemed a little musty and in need of redecoration. The food from the bar menu was cold and inedible..not great for a bar with such history. Massively overpriced which wouldn't have mattered if it had been tasty and a decent temperature. Wedding party on the Saturday night made it awkward for valet and general entry to the hotel... not something you expect when paying the rates we were.. we literally ad to wait and ask nicely for strangers to let us past to get into the hotel.

Convenient location, large rooms comfortable for a longer stay, nice interiors, helpful staff. The historical building of the Mayo hotel is beautiful and has a lot of charm. We enjoyed the cafe on premises with good menu for breakfast and brunch, and friendly staff. Short walking distance to the convention centers (Cox and BOK).

The room had a kitchenette, however, no utensils provided. Would be more convenient if couple of sets of utensils was put in the kitchen drawers.

We loved everything about the property! It was a beautiful building and the suite we had on the 7th floor was fabulous. The bed was so comfortable and we loved the shower! Room service and comfortable robes made our day after driving Route 66!

We paid 30 dollars for a valet service but we heard them telling the guy behind that parking was free on a Sunday right outside! They also don’t open the roof bar on a Sunday, which seemed a shame and was one of the reasons I booked the hotel!

The perfect location for downtown conference and a very quiet sleep in a well appointed historical hotel. Best vallet service I’ve seen in forever. The rooftop was windy but clean and the staff helpful in ala carte meal service due to the restaurant downstairs being temp closed for an event.

The front reception didn’t answer the phone in the early evening in follow up to needing more coffee and cups (4 vs 2) for the number of people staying in the room. A 2nd in person request at the desk was necessary and a charge applied for each additional coffee pod requested. Our shower retained a pool of water and the front desk was informed as we checked out.

It’s a beautiful hotel and the room was very roomy.

There were three of us traveling which is why we selected the room with a pull out couch. We were ready to settle in for the evening however the pull out couch had no linens and there were no linens to be found in the room, which resulted in us having to call housekeeping. We had a full kitchen which included a refrigerator (ice maker and water dispenser) but glassware …. not even in the bathroom. Again, we had to call housekeeping to request glasses for a simple glass of water.

The Rooftop bar was a nice, social atmosphere. The location is convenient for restaurants, activities, etc. Love the decor. Our mini-suite was very comfortable and quiet.

Our room was not ready for 4pm check-in when we arrived at 5pm. A male employee tried contacting housekeeping numerous times...leaving us with the ‘manager’. She was very unfriendly and not interested in serving those arriving. After almost an hour, we finally received our key cards. Once we accessed our room, the remainder of our stay was great. (The valet, doorman, & Rooftop bartender were great employees!)

The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are lovely and large. I loved the carpeting, bathroom, and overall feel of the room.

The only complaint I have is that the first day there (Thursday), the early evening young lady working the desk was not especially friendly or forthcoming with information on the hotel. She was a bit curt. Didn't give any information on the hotel and just handed us a key. Normally that wouldn't be a bad thing at a normal hotel, but I have stayed at the Mayo before so i know the typical level of service. On Friday morning the staff was great and exceeded my expectations (Mike and the new trainee were really great so it somewhat restored my confidence). I just wish we had that level of service on both days because first impressions matter. It was my sister's first time at the Mayo and unfortunately I wasn't able to show her the typical level of service on both days.

I liked that valet for the car was an option and a small restaurant was available on the main floor.

The valet took a while to bring the car around, didn't have my car in the system when staying multiple days, didn't help with luggage when checking out in bad weather, the phone in the room didn't work even after reporting it to the front desk.

I love it’s historical significance and its well done renovation that captures that historic feel.

It would be nice to have a sit down restaurant in it. it had a place to pick up food and drinks (coffee/wine) but not the ambiance I was expecting.

the property is absolutely gorgeous. I love the pictures throughout the walls that showed all the history of the hotel. the bed was really comfortable and my whole family felt very safe. my wife and I travel a lot and the Mayo Hotel is one of the nicest boutique hotels we’ve stayed in

I wish there was a bellhop that would’ve taken our luggage upstairs
