SCP Depoe Bay

This is a really beautiful Boutique style hotel. It's very clean, comfortable, lots of special features and we loved the view of the harbor. They have free parking, online check in and out, wonderful staff, free "limited options" breakfast, yoga room, games and lovely deck. Our room was spacious and we like the Urban atmosphere. It is an Eco friendly hotel and we like that alot. Price seems fair for the area and time of year. Would we come back again...Yes!

For me the pillows were a bit hard and we sleep with a window open and we could hear the 5-7am fisherman parking their trucks below our room in the harbor parking lot. Wish there were a bit more options for breakfast.

Location is a-ma-zing! Right on the harbor. Views from patio and balcony levels are brilliant... so much fun to hang out and watch the boats. The common area is spacious and well lit, a variety of comfy places to hang out, read, do a little work (shh!), also great views from the porch. We've never really stayed at place for multiple nights and enjoyed hanging out there. Plenty of extra towels and supplies as needed. Very cool decor and super clean rooms. The efforts at sustainable hospitality are notable.

The mini fridges lacked a freezer drawer. The fridge never really got cold enough. These are non-issues, really.

The property created an atmosphere to make guests feel at home and to encourage them, if they want, to engage with fellow guests. They had an exercise room, game area, lots of different areas indoors and outdoors for guests to use as they wish. I rarely use common areas of hotels, but here I found myself using these spaces. I really appreciated the location. Depoe Bay was an ideal spot to stay. The hotel was located next to a wonderful park with nature trails as well as next to the harbor. I loved these outdoor areas.

The hotel welcomes pets, which is wonderful if you travel with pets. But as I have a sensitive sense of smell, I noticed a lingering wet dog odor in the room. The room was clean otherwise. I wish they would have some rooms for pets and others only for humans. Hotels do this for smoking so why not for pets?

This is such a cute hotel! The granola for breakfast was delicious (and they had oat milk and coffee!), they are so pet friendly (they have dog bowls, toys and beds you can grab when you enter the hotel), and it is all tastefully decorated. The lounge/common area downstairs is super spacious and stocked with cards, games, even yoga mats and a Peloton bike in a separate little area!

Our room (#12) was HOT. At 3 am we both woke up and opened the window, and aimed the provided fan directly on us. It was hard to get much air from the window as we kept the shade drawn to keep the bright lights from the harbor out. The thermostat was turned all the way down to 50 already. There isn't anyone at the desk overnight, not that I know what they could have done aside from turning off the fireplace in the common area, which was still on. That being said, we would definitely stay here again, we would just set our room up to be prepared for the heat overnight. Also, we like to have the room cool so if you like it warm, you might be fine.

SCP was a terrific place to stay. They are a smaller hotel, but that was wonderful!! It has a great warm feeling to it from the moment you walk in. The staff were superb, wonderfully friendly but not "in your face". They were there as you needed them. I loved the comfy swing in my room! If it had been a bit warmer (not SCP's fault!) I would have loved sitting there with the patio door opened so I could have listened to the sounds of the bay. My purpose was to get to the coast and relax. SCP helped me accomplish that!!

I'd suggest they work to sound proof the rooms a bit better. Though not too loud, I was easily able to hear voices or the TV from the rooms on either side of me. I completely understand how difficult accomplishing complete sound barriers would be, and this would not prevent me from returning to SCP again. It was worlds beyond better than the noisy hallways of the "big national brand" hotels.

The hotel is located in a quiet corner of Depoe Bay, offering ample parking and beautiful views over the harbor. The property is thoughtfully arranged with a thoughtful collection of shared/self-service amenities and eco-friendly mindfulness throughout. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed; we particularly appreciated the gas fireplace. We did not have a dog with us, but appreciated all of the touches they offer for canine companions. The team is super friendly and helpful.

Nothing! The hotel was just what we needed for a quick stop in Depoe Bay and we liked the eco-friendly/community-oriented atmosphere. We would stay here again when we return to the area. If you don't like self-service amenities and want a more full-service experience, then this would not be the place for you.

Spotlessly clean, simple booking in process, nice receptionist, great location. Self service breakfast comprised of home made granola and was excellent. Plenty of communal facilities to make coffee etc., We had a takeaway and ate it in the dining room. Rooms are lovely, huge TV, great view, fridge and very comfortable bed. Linen including towels are first class. I was very surprised and pleased with the place

Rooms could be better soundproofed. Could hear the next room very clearly.

I loved the fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and I lay there, watching the flames in the electric fire. It was great. The view of the harbor was lovely, too, especially as the sun went down.

I wasn't crazy about the chair in the form of a hammock. I didn't find it so easy to get in and out and not that comfortable, but I had that fabulous fireplace which more than made up for it. I had some problem with the check-out procedure but Julie helped me solve that in the end.

beautiful common area to enjoy sunset and breakfast, lovely fireplace and wall of windows to the harbor. It was a very clean room and well stocked. Julia who did everything was a true delight to meet. Breakfast of granola fruit etc hit the spot.

I elected for the two sets of bunk beds room as it was more economical but they were more firm than my taste. the room was chilly so I turned on the heat and used blankets from the other beds to get warm & comfortable. I’m sure kids would enjoy it.

Staff is incredibly polite and helpful. Super comfortable & friendly atmosphere. Dog encouraging vs. Dog "friendly". Relaxed atmosphere that encourages quality family time. Beds are very comfy. The entire place is beaming with amenities. We got into a last-minute opening in a bunk beds room and I was surprised that their bunk beds were so comfy. They offer good-quality tea and have pitchers of water at all times. There is a fridge stocked with sparkling water and kombucha for purchase.

No coffee before 8 or 8:15 am. Lack of spider control on patios.
