Rodeway Inn Newport

The location is great with lots of free parking and close to everything. The staff (Lee, at the front desk) was very cheerful and helpful. Amenities were few (as expected) but the room was very clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced for a solo traveler.

My only observation is the parking lot was is a few hundred yards from the main office. Security might not be an issue, but it might be a concern to the timid. And I was unable to find an ice machine anywhere near the room I was placed in - though I didn't look too hard.

Very kind staff and breakfast is all day which I appreciated a lot as a night owl. They also offer free stationary which is great as someone on a budget who couldn't afford many souvenirs! The location is a hop and skip from most of Newport's notable attractions on both sides so its very conveniently located!

Nothing much! I believe the TV channels were labelled incorrectly in the introduction binder though? (Could be remembering wrong)

Clean, comfortable beds. Two sinks, one in bathroom, one outside of bathroom. Make it easier for two people to get ready. Very nice staff.

Breakfast doesn't start until after 7:30, even though you an get it Amy time afterwards it is inconvenient when you on vacation an out doing things, come back tired and get breakfast items for the next day. Also website says breakfast included, sweet rolls and muffins are not my idea of breakfast. Was disappointed in the breakfast. No AC, There was a very small fan I the room but not big enough to move air around.

Breakfast was available all day, which was great! Manager was friendly and invited us to come get breakfast or not to be shy when getting food, which is really nice. The room was super clean, bed was comfortable, and came with a nice book of things to do in the area. Cable was great, HDMI cable also allowed us to use laptop to watch our own movies!! Great place, will be staying here again.

I love this motel, everything here was great. Location, cleanliness, and management were great. However, seagulls are loud, but it’s Newport! They quiet down when the sun sets at least. Nothing manager can control anyways :)

Furnished room with refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave oven, fan, room is very spacious. Comfortable bed, plenty of towels and toiletries. Clean. Breakfast sufficient - tea, coffee, several types of juices, a large selection of sweets and pastries, jams. Hassle-free parking directly in front of the room. Check-out was super fast, there was no need to solve anything. There is a 24/7 supermarket and a Chinese restaurant right across from the motel.

In a slightly busier place, but the room was quite quiet. Sounds can be heard from the next room. There is no air conditioning, but it was not needed. A little longer check-in time.

The Rodeway was conveniently located right along the 101. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The rate for the evening was very reasonable. Well stocked in fast breakfast items for grab n go morning.

There was no a/c which I knew when I reserved the room. It was definitely a little on the warm side for a summer night stay. Also, because you are on the 101 and near several store fronts it is on the noisier side in the parking lot.

The location was excellent, just off highway 101, with everything we needed close by. The staff is great and went above and beyond to save us our room for a second night. The room was huge, had excellent hot water, and we were able to park right outside our room.

The second TV didn't work in our room, but was fixed right away after reporting the issue. The complimentary breakfast was very simple, but there is a Starbucks right next door. Really, there was nothing wrong with this place, we were super happy with it!!

It's location! It is on HWY 101, and it sets back far enough off of the road, that we didn't hear traffic. It was clean and comfortable. Check in was fast and easy, the manager is very personable and has a great sense of humor. We've stayed there before...and we will stay there again!

The only thing I can say that I actually didnt like was, that the TV needs to be mounted on the wall. It sits on top of the dresser, which is fine, but the bed is higher than most motel beds and it is hard to watch TV while laying in bed. I have no other complaints.

The housekeeping staff were so kind and did an excellent job!

My only complaint is booking.com said check in was 1pm so we made travel arrangements around that and was very much looking forward to a nap only to stand in the lobby for about 45 mins ringing the bell hoping someone would show up. No one ever did and we came back later. Otherwise it was a great experience.

The bed was big and comfortable, the room was huge, I would even say a little too big and over furnished with a random table posted under the coat rack. plenty of parking in front of the rooms

The main dislike was the proximity of the restaurant on the hotel premises and some drunken guests screaming late at night. The room could use a little tlc, carpet/paint/some wear & tear and all the extra furniture makes it look a bit outdated but the room was clean and the amenities too!
