Red Lion Inn & Suites Grants Pass

Stayed here for four nights overall. Room was spacious and modern feeling, beds were comfy, the free breakfast wasn't fancy but it was good enough, and we even got free passes to a nearby gym for staying a few days. The location is close to lots of places to eat (including In-n-Out!) and it's just a short drive to downtown Grants Pass or to larger spots like Walmart. Had a great stay here, highly recommend.

The only small nitpick is that the pool's hot tub wasn't hot, which we likely could have alerted the staff about anyway. Wasn't a big deal but something to be aware of.

Almost everything was great. The bed was very comfortable. The layout of the room was different but actually very helpful. The breakfast was nice, lots of options. Everything was clean. The shampoo and stuff was nice as well.

The only real issue was that the walls were super duper thin. None of the neighbors were overly loud but just them going in and out or using the shower or talking with each other sounded almost like they were in our room. It was crazy. It didn't bother me much, though I noticed and thought it was weird but it bugged my husband more. So great hotel if little noises don't bother you. But don't stay there if they do.

I stayed in a room that allowed pets. The price was extremely low. All the things I look for to be comfortable were there. The towels were luxurious and everything was very clean. It is the first time the floors were vinyl not carpet. It looked modern and recently remodeled.

The only improvement would be a cooked breakfast. But I have to say the egg sandwich heated in microwave was not terrible. The wonderful shade provided by a mature tree also dropped sap all over my car. I decided the shade was worth it.

It was pretty quiet at night, no parties in the parking lot :) Interaction with any staff was all good. We had to leave one night early due to family emergency.

When we first got there, I went to the bathroom, which supposedly had just been cleaned and there was a wad of black hair in the toilet, scared me for a minute as I thought it was a big spider. Looked like someone had combed her hair and cleaned out their brush :( Also didnt look like the tile floor had been mopped at all :(

Floor was linoleum—great for pet owners because we know the staff was able to thoroughly clean it before we arrived; white bedspreads (again, let us know the linen was sparkling clean after the last person with pets), bathroom beautifully updated with big lighted mirror and waterfall sink spout, and the front desk person was the friendliest person I have ever met (I’m 61 years old and have met a lot of people)! But the absolute best reason to stay at red lion is the free pass to the Northwest sports complex close by. Their indoor heated swimming pool and lap pool was the best relaxation after hours on the road and my husband said he enjoyed working out with weights in the spacious weight room. I finished by laying out on a lounge chair in the sun, soaking up warmth, before we both left to go back to the hotel. That free pass is worth so much!

No good place to potty the dogs. We had to use the areas around the hotel landscaping, although doggie bags and can are readily available.

Comfortable beds good breakfast awesome woman at night very helpful . Am lady wasn't as helpful kinda felt like she just didn't like her job or maybe me personal idk .

My first room was 121 it was awesome but the handicap shower chair was broke and I fell on the floor on my backside . I have only 1 leg so it was not easy to get up or to shower . I told the am lady at the front desk she kids just over looked it . I can almost promise it's not fixed or changed out .

Friendly staff super clean rooms and facilities all around the beds are so comfortable I stayed an additional night along with a great free breakfast and u also get free access to the local gym club Northwest Wich is outstanding I highly recommend the red lion to anyone

Everything was outstanding from the rooms cleanliness to the hot showers as well as the coffee maker in the room a good frige and microwave and the feeling of security with the cameras and key card entry on every entrance I love it higher quality and safety then the la Quinta that is over priced and no security cameras outside I know this cause my vehicle was stolen from there and it was only 4 spaces from the front door that's right right out front in broad daylight these punks stole my car that I had just bought that won't happen at the lion ...

This place is clean. The bathroom did not smell of urine like other hotels we stayed at which cost more. the pool was quite pleasant and a little old, but the month of August was great to be in any pool.

On the other side of the property is a run-down trailer park. Little sketchy so we brought our valuables into our room. By the time we went to get our breakfast, around 9:30, most of the food was gone and not replaced nor was the silverware.

I had stayed here before when it was a Shilo Inn; a wonderful couple kept it a place to stay, despite the facility being dated. I think that it changed hands and then went downhill. Red Lion did a fantastic remodel of the place and my room was very comfortable

I didn't like that I couldn't stay longer...it's just a halfway point for me to visit friends and family in CA. Maybe a kayak adventure for a longer stay?? I love the rogue river valley.

The room was quite comfortable and clean. We were pleasantly surprised. It was a little spendy but not surprising with the increased cost of everything.

Getting in to and out of the location was challenging at times due to the one way streets and construction. I was also surprised that there wasn't a microwave in the room. The fridge/freezer was great for dinner leftovers but that would have been very helpful.
