Crater Lake Gateway-Rocky Point Resort

Loved this place! Room ended up being a very comfortable RV trailer with full amenities, including small kitchen with refrig, stove, oven and dishes and small dining table. Sofa too. And then separate area with bed and BR. Small space but loved having everything you needed for food prep and comfortable sleeping. Location perfect too. Had porch that looked out onto lake. The kayaking was fabulous too. Property located Lake with river - all part of a canoe trail. Really great staff too’

Everything! The staff was exceptional! They catered to my needs in every way! They were super friendly. The bed was soooo comfortable. The sheets were like satin. The setting was beautiful and peaceful, among evergreens that had to be 100 years old. The smell was delicious! The on site restaurant had delicious. I sat on the balcony overlooking the lake. It was a delightful experience!

There wasn’t a thing I did not like.

Utterly gorgeous spot. The view from the deck of the restaurant is jaw-dropping, and the food is good at reasonable cost. We had one of the motel-style rooms and it was well sufficient to our needs. A brief and widespread power outage affected water heating/pumping and left us without a shower for our morning of departure, but that couldn't be helped -- it's the kind of thing that happens when you're some distance from the city. Overall, this resort is a throwback to an older, simpler time and it is absolutely lovely for a short stay like ours or a family getaway.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the resort was upon arrival. I had driven all day, 8+ hours, on my own, and was a little wary of staying in an unknown place alone. I was on my way to Crater Lake and needed a quick and easy place to spend the night before heading up the mt. Once I drove into the gates of the RV/resort on the lakeside, with its beautiful location and views, I felt welcome and safe. It is a well-kept, clean, and private RV/campsite, with a few cabins and 4 or 5 rooms in a separate wooden building. It was all very clean and tidy, with a nice shop and restaurant right on the water. I had a lovely dinner at a table facing the lake, with incredible views with a nice glass of wine! So peaceful! The room was clean, warm, and had everything I needed. It was quiet at night. I could park right in front of my room.

Hm... nothing! It was just a great experience all round.

I loved the quietness, both in the evening and in the morning, and the beauty of the sunsets and sunrises. I did not interact with any staff, but did so with some of the other people staying there, and we had pleasant conversations.

My first impression, when arriving, and walking up to the house, was disappointment, as it looked quite shabby from the outside. It needs a refreshing paint job. But inside was very nice. I suggest that the outside be improved, as it gives a first impression.

We had a one bedroom Cabin. They are clean and tidy but the cabins are showing their age. But for 2 of us, plenty of room us and our stuff, and everything was fit for purpose

Cabin location gave us lovely view of all the big rig RV campers set up in front. Restaurant food was OK with generous (overly) portions but a bit pricy

The staff was very friendly. They definitely were multi tasking. The lady that checked us in was also our server at the restaurant and she was so pleasant and helpful. The food was good.. The view was beautiful, and the sunrise did not disappoint. We would come back for camping. The chalet we stayed in was rustic and had great charm.

The TV didn't work (we really didn't come for TV but it would of been nice) We could of had our option of dvds, but the store said be right back and when we went back it was closed. There was a number to call but we didn't feel it was an urgent matter. There is a part of the dock that was questionable, it had one hinge holding it on. The bed was comfy but sagged a little.

Absolutely phenomenal place to stay. We came to see Crater Lake and were not disappointed. Beautiful scenery right on the lake; fishing, boating, canoe/kayak rentals. Awesome restaurant on-site w a bar--its a good 30 min from klamath falls so that was awesome. The staff we met had just started last week, they were fantastic!! So friendly, more than accommodating. We actually decided to stay an extra night so they put our new room on priority cleaning for us. We're already planning to come back!

There literally wasn't anything we didn't like.

it was a campground cabin. hidden from the road. very comfy bed in the room. the restaurant staff was very helpful.

internet connectivity was poor. in room tv relies on internet so it was useless. the coffee maker hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guest.

Magical place near Crater Lake national park. The bed and sheets were beyond comfortable. Everyone we met were friendly. There is nice grocery store, which was useful because its very secluded. It felt like going to summer camp and we would come again.

Everything was lovely.
