Running Y Ranch Resort

We loved the beautiful grounds and lodge. The swimming pool was amazing and the kids had fun. The cleaning staff was on top of everything and the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable.

The food was mediocre at best and expensive. I wish we had discovered the deli at the store because the food looked good and lots of variety. Free coffee from 5 AM on was not ready on all 3 days we stayed with no one around to request it. No furniture in the room except an uncomfortable desk chair, we had to request and extra chair. I didn’t appreciate the 40.00 per day pet fee. We visit Klamath Falls about 3 times a year. I don’t think we will stay here again.

Beautiful, nicely landscaped, lovely little market/deli. Pool and gym are really great. It’s nice to have a restaurant on the property as well.

Usually the kids love the pool but this time the staff scared them by yelling at them for being in the hot tub. Kids love hot tubs, everywhere else we’ve ever stayed (even places with water parks) don’t care if kids are there. They’ve always been really nice but now they’re super strict and the kids didn’t want to be there. Also, every time we eat here the wait staff seem really overworked. Takes forever to be seated, forever to order, to get food, to get bill, to leave. No one to bus tables, etc.

We liked the room. It was very nice and comfortable. The Christmas decorations were absolutely beautiful and amazing. The food at the restaurant was very good.

Our room was not serviced for three days. We had to go down and get more towels after the first two days We put the sign on the door everyday to have our room cleaned. Stated previously, it did not happen. We went down to talk to see the lady behind the desk. She acted like it was not a big deal. She wasn't very nice about it. This was very sad because this is a beautiful resort.

Loved Pickleball! and the organized play available as per the “playtime scheduler” website / appreciated Charging station on site. (However there were issues) Enjoyed the restaurants with live music… room w balcony was so nice… Just a short drive away was Main Street with lots of options

1-issues w Electric charging parking space/ sign up/ usage/ one space was unavailable due to being a handicapped space!?? 2-As soon as we checked in we asked for dinner reservation they told us “no way”! Later we walked by and no problem got a table.. hmmm 3- We checked into room 340 and the air conditioner was making a terrible hum. So grateful they moved our room

Restaurant staff was a mixed evaluation. Some where outstanding! Others lacked the importance, especially right now, of a quest. Just a simple conservation or answering a quest pleasantly would have been nice. Our dinner server was excellent as well as our breakfast server. Those behind the bar whether working the restaurant or bar could use some training. The front desk was great in handling my check in although they couldn't find a room for my reservation, the situation was resolved and the individual at the front desk was very caring and handled it well.

Some of the staff in the restaurant were not very helpful. My room was musty. Maintenance just came by my chair outside by the patio and started trimming without informing me or asking me to move. Grass was flying right at me, that wasn't pleasant.

We liked the Running Y very much. It is nice staying at a resort style place rather than standard motels and hotels, and the price isn't that different depending on the time of year. The grounds are beautiful and so is the lobby and the bar/restaurant. The room we had was good, not great, but excellent for pet friendly hotel. Really liked the veranda overlooking the golf course and the distant lake view, with fire pits for night time enjoyment. We ate in the restaurant and it was good too. The menu has something for everyone and the portions were generous.

The Running Y bills itself as a 5 star resort, and in some ways it is but in others not. Specifically the room was quite basic. The one we had certainly didn't say "5 star" to us. For example, the bathroom was very standard motel bathroom. No luggage rack in the room, though one was promptly provided upon request. There was no microwave in the room. There is no free coffee service, you must purchase coffee at the coffee bar or use the in-room coffee maker. The room decor was also basic but nice. We are very experienced travelers, all over the US and the world but not picky. We would stay here again, but since this is a review for others to make their own decision I have just pointed out a few things to make sure expectations match reality.

This was a wonderful stop on our road trip. The grounds were lovely. The restaurant food was quite good... the service was exceptional. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We plan to come back in the fall for a longer stay.

We were on the 2nd floor of the lodge, and noise from the room above us was distracting. Also, the in-room refrigerator, an awesome amenity, was noisy. We were tired from a long day of driving and maybe more sensitive to the noise.

Running Y Ranch was beautiful and provided walking paths near the golf course and a terrific view. Room had two queen beds, very modern and extra space. Property also had a gym in a separate building, dog park, and restaurant. Landscape was exceptional.

At this time we could not eat in the restaurant because a reservation was required and outside was too cold even with the fire pits.

The hotel was wonderful, nice building, the staff was very accommodating, the restaurant was also great, even had several vegetarian option, what gave it an extra plus. We had breakfast in the hotel and even that was good. The location was very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

We didn't like that the coffee cups in the room were one way material and extra packed in plastic. At least the cups were paper and not plastic. I think they could do better in the sustainability department. The charger of the electric car was very slow.

Good location to explore the area and the staff was very friendly. Very comfortable, beautiful views. It was great to have a playground on site!

The place is a bit old fashioned. Since it's quite remote, we expected to have more to do on site, and for the services to be of better quality. The pool seemed a bit unwelcoming, and the restaurant dinner menu wasn't very good.
