Edgewater Inn Shady Cove

I loved that we had a balcony overlooking the Rogue River. The room had a small kitchenette and a comfy seating area. The wifi worked great. There was free coffee provided. The hotel room and grounds were clean, beautiful, well-maintained. We enjoyed the hot tub and the swimming pool. And, we did not hear guests in other rooms when we were in our room. Everything in our room worked perfectly. Overall, a really great lodging experience.

location! Wow! Overlooking the Rouge River and and watching rafters and fishermen floating the river. Sat on balcony and watched the sits and wavered at the river goers! Hotel is right across the river from a great Mexican restaurant and a block away from a gem called the Mac’s Diner!

Slow on check-in…. We asked for early check-in over a month in advance and finally got in at 15:59 hrs….

Have stayed here many times. It is always clean, friendly staff, very peaceful, comfortable stay

We had a River view room with little patio. Gentlemen next smoked like a chimney out on his patio. So every time we were out on the patio it smelled like cigarettes. This was in no way the hotel’s fault. I have asthma so didn’t really get to enjoy our patio River view as much as I had hoped.

The outdoor pool and hot tub was perfect in temperature, and a great size. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The river view rooms are fabulous - great view of the river and nice area to sit outside and watch the river go by. There were nice, large garbage cans on both floors at every corner.

They advertised that breakfast was included, but did not have anything. I know that it was due to Covid restrictions, but they could have at least had some granola bars and fruit available for us to take.

Very nice paved river walking trail. The river sounds were wonderful. Courteous staff, generously sized room. Lanai with elegant French doors. The room had a kitchenette unit with gas cooktop, bar sink, fridge and even cookware.

Noisy venue next door. Would have liked ads for local attractions at office. WiFi was slow to the point of being unusable. Had to use mobile data instead, but then this isn't the big city with fiber optic wifi, folks.

Nice pool and hot tub. Decent location on the main road. Pretty quiet for a holiday weekend.

Frustrated with limited Wifi availability. Seems strange in 2022 to stay in a place two nights and not be able to connect to the WiFi the entire time. Other hotels have figured this issue out long ago. Created some issues in our planning for weather and schedule. On top of this, the location is remote so that cell phone service was spotty. Crazy!

The hotel is good for a weekend stay, we wanted to swim at the pool but there were so many kids and no parents. We later found out it was some local kids that came in to swim after the hotel staff had to ask them to leave. It was hot that day so I couldn’t blame them. Nice town, good people, close to restaurant and businesses. Frequently sold out so book ahead.

Check in was at 4:00pm and that’s too late for a check in when you drive five hours and have to wait. 2:00pm is the typical check in and 11:00am to check out. The staff was great and got us in at 3:00.

Extremely good price for a king room with deck overlooking the Rogue River. Gorgeous. Nice little town. Super accommodating staff.

It would be nice if there was a pot of coffee and snacks in the lobby, even if not a full "continental breakfast." The coffee maker in the room is supplied with crappy little pods that don't brew-up even a halfway decent cup of coffee. You really have to walk over to the nearby deli or cafe down the street for a decent brew and breakfast. Which is fine, because I discovered Mac's Diner, also right on the Rogue River, which has great food, service, and view.

I loved the fact that this location has a river view and a deck to sit by to view the river., beside each room having a view and bottom rooms having access.

The fact that when I booked well a month in advance at a 150.00 per night, then 3 days before the price dropped to 80.00 per night after the fact. I would be preferred to pay the lesser price.

What a beautiful and tranquil room! It was so homey and peaceful, the decor was woodsy and warm. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. There were even pots, pans, dish and silverware in the kitchenette. French doors open up to a small private patio with the Rogue river rushing by, just feet away. The staff was friendly, accommodating and unobtrusive. I look forward to staying there again and recommend this hotel to everyone. By far one of the nicest places I've ever stayed and very reasonable. Kudos to the Edgewater Inn!
