Candlewood Suites Harrisburg I-81 Hershey Area, an IHG Hotel

Everything was great. A few issues- our room key cards kept malfunctioning and had to be replaced. This happened twice. Pool was out of order, not sure why. Only one elevator was operational making getting to the third floor more time consuming. The staff was very pleasant for which we were grateful.

The tv in our room was annoying. Had to reboot it because it was stuck on one channel. Once we got it working, we had to stand in front of the tv to the side in order for the remote control to work. There was no air conditioning in the hallways with the air very hot and stagnant. When our room keys didn't work I had to stand in the hot hallway waiting for my spouse to go down and get new ones. This happened twice.

overall, this was one of the better hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was friendly and went out of their way. I was needing to use the computer for work and I was unable to get it to work. The staff move the computer to a different location and was able to get everything up and running so I can use it. The location was close to the interstate and several restaurants. Overall great experience.

I wish the TVs had Wi-Fi capability

The location was good for our friends visit. It is about 22 mins from Hershey Park, Giant Center and Hershey Gardens. Nice little breakfast spots in the quaint town within 5 minutes. Pool and hot tub spa inside. They were renovating. Room laid out well. Parking on site and ample.

At the time of stay the pool wasn’t accessible. The room across from front desk smells like someone has been grilling. The window in that room leads to the deck with the grill so the smell travels in.

The pool. I have never felt pool water so warm. I am normally a floater, but I was actually swimming this time. I RATE THE POOL 100%. WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING.

The only downfall was the stovetop, I don't know if it was just my room but the stove only cooks on HIGH heat😪.

The pool stayed open late. The kids enjoyed swimming to end the night. I like that you offer free laundry. I liked the convenience of being roomed near the elevator. I liked the front desk attendant. She was very nice and accommodating. It was very clean. I had everything I needed. I will recommend you stay here.

My grandmother had a stroke and I came from out of state to see her. I was there for four nights and every night I came in, the beautiful soul behind the counter asked me how my grandma was doing and how I was doing. The room was spotless, the staff was all very friendly and the location was perfect. The beautiful soul behind the counter each night went above and beyond and she had no idea just how good it felt or how it lifted my spirits to have her ask and talk with me after my visits to the nursing home which were really tough. When ever I come back to PA to visit with family, I will definitely be staying there.

It is easy to locate. The staff was very friendly. The room was cleaning. The beds were comfortable.

They really need to put up some curtains that block out the sun in the morning. The ones they have let the sun through. So as soon as the sun comes up, you are up because it's in your eyes. Besides that, we had no complaints.

We enjoyed all the amenities that the facility offered. My only complaint was that are tv kept going out might have been a electrical shortage because all they told us to was restart the electrical box instead of offering a different room.

When I arrived I was greeted by the manager a Ms. Cathy & Ms. Virginia They both answered all of my questions and shared information about the surrounding areas of interest to me and my wife. We both enjoyed our stay and will be staying again in the future. The hotel had everything available for us from access to the pool as well as the fitness center and business area.

It’s not that I dislike anything, We we’re used to hotels providing breakfast which wasn’t available, but that was ok. Perkins restaurant was close by where we had breakfast and dinner each day.
