Convenient to Penn Medicine facilities, HUP, CHOP, Penn and Drexel campuses. Our room was comfortable-ish. Bed was comfy, shower was large.

Our first room was on the side away from the street but it wasn’t clean. They moved us to a room facing the street, which was much noisier. There are no usb outlets anywhere, and electrical outlets were not conveniently placed. The bathroom had very little space for toiletries, so we brought in a small side table. The housekeeping staff is not doing a very good job. Lots of dust in corners, on the bottom portion of that side table, on the credenzas by the elevator. Also, there were obvious stains in the carpet in the rooms.

Room are big and bright and comfortable. Big desk with electric outlet nearby. Front desk staff was really friendly and helpful.

First room I was given had a broken toilet and a phone that didn't work (to call down and report the open toilet). I ended up having to change rooms because there was no maintenance and the new room overlooked a side street where trash collection started at 5:30 AM. Also, they closed the restaurant for breakfast either for staffing or money saving reasons. It's a great location for me and I'd stay there again, but it's not as good as I'd like it to be.

The hospitality staff were extremely helpful. I asked for and received extra towels, soap, and washcloths. The front desk staff were also helpful, providing me with directions to the World Cafe Live and other nearby places. The hotel atmosphere was relaxed, making it a welcome relief from my hectic work schedule.

The hotel facilities were fine. The staff members were excellent. After walking through the campuses of Drexel and the University of Pennsylvania, I realized how close the hotel was to the Amtrak station. It's a bit like walking from the Times Square area in New York City to the Penn Station area, a pleasant and quick walk on a nice day. Arguably the hotel was a little expensive, but I'm not complaining. I was also surprised that the room did not have a small refrigerator or a microwave.

The studying theme of the hotel fits nicely with its location among the UPenn and Drexel campuses. This seems to be a great location in general with lots of nice places within walking distance and easy access to public transit. This would be a great place to, say, work on a paper and explore Philly during breaks. This visit was purely recreational though, and I suspect the same for many of the other guests on July 4th weekend. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The room (Study Suite with King Bed) was extremely spacious with a beautiful view of the city, most amenities you might need, and a nice aesthetic. The separate study room was way overkill for my stay, but also was my favorite part. It had a large work desk and two comfy leather chairs. A second large work desk was in the bedroom area. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious with a nice shower. Fitness center was decent. No problems with the wifi. For parking, I used the Drexel garage on Ludlow St, which is about $20 a day if you don't plan to exit and reenter.

Would have liked coffee maker, mini-fridge, and microwave as standard in the room. They provided a mini-fridge when I inquired though. Also, coffee is provided in the lobby in the morning and can be purchased later.

The hotel has a great lobby and fitness center. I didn’t have the chance to try the cafe, but it looked great.

This hotel is in a great location, but the room itself is nothing special. Very similar to Hampton Inn, just more expensive. I say this as a hospitality professional, with over 20 years of experience working for Fine Hotels and Resorts. Again-the location is great! I arrived to Philly via Amtrak, and it was a short walk to the hotel. I had business at HUP, and was able to walk there as well. If I need to visit HUP again, hopefully the rates will be more agreeable to me.

This hotel is AMAZING! I will definitely be returning! Very clean rooms, beautiful modern facility in the heart of two universities, all within walking distance to restaurants, bars and attractions. I searched and searched for a hotel that wouldn't break the bank like other downtown hotels and took a leap of faith on The Study because of the value and great reviews. I highly recommend!

There isn't a coffee machine (although they have complimentary coffee in the lobby) and there wasn't a refrigerator in the room. Although I feel that's been more of the norm in any hotel lately.

First, the location is really good! Because we took the train and it just a few minute on foot. When we checked-in at The Study at University City, Study Hotels, it was so impressive. The staff was friendly, and the lobby is so cozy. And the room we booked was also great! Clean, bright and comfortable. So we changed our mind immediately, we should stay more time in the room. Then we ordered some room services, which was good as well. Looking forward to visiting again!

The room was clean, neat and simply put together. Plenty of space for a single traveler or even two adults. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, linens bright white with a slight hint of bleach. While I did not use the desk or extra lounge chair with ottoman, they were both contemporary and well made. The extra touch of a book on the side table was cool - the lobby features a clean and spacious vibe, with many library-type shelves and books on the walls. From check-in (I arrived well after midnight) to checkout, to the drinks I took to my room from the hotel bar, everyone was very friendly and kind. The world is so short-staffed these days - it was good to be back "outside" and even better to experience a kind and friendly environment. I will definitely stay here, again. The free coffee in the morning was a nice touch. I went out of town to a local diner for breakfast one morning and to a coffee joint the other. There is a restaurant and bar on site but they are somewhat pricey (reviews are mixed for the restaurant), and I wasn't in the mood to navigate an iffy place. I did order drinks directly from the bar and take them to the room, one evening. If you can get one, parking across the street, or on the side of the hotel and up one block, is free from 8 PM to 8 AM. There are also TWO public parking garages with reasonable rates if you're going to park your vehicle and walk or take the metro. The hotel asked $42 per diem for valet parking, with unlimited in/outs. I parked on the street both nights without any issue.

$42 for valet parking when already a guest of the hotel. It's steep considering there are two public parking garages directly behind the hotel and within easy walking distance. I happened to see one of the hotel valets driving a guest car down the side street and I was glad I'd not given my vehicle to a hotel valet. They were rather speedy and short around the corners. Why risk it? This isn't a dealbreaker, the $42 valet charge, but at other hotels around town, it's about half that price for guests of the hotel. I chose to stay here despite no inclusive continental or grab-and-go breakfast option. The free coffee was good. I sought meals elsewhere which is what staying in a city is all about.

Nice hotel in a good location a bit away from the center. Spacious clean room

No fridge in the room, and the girl at the front desk wasn’t very helpful. I asked for Indego Bike Share stations around the hotel and she said she wasn’t aware of it, but I found out there are several nearby and one at the very corner of Market St. computer in the lobby with keyboard with broken keys so too hard to use it for anything
