Rhett House

The front desk staff was super nice, informative, accommodative. Room 8 was beautiful, shared with my college daughter. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we were just passing through for one night. Snack and dessert were fabulous and unexpected! The Rhett House was lovely and we would recommend to all.

We had to get on the road early so we requested an early breakfast when we arrived around 5pm the night before. They were gracious and said they would try to accommodate if they could, which we appreciated. (Understandable that they may not be able to as it was a last minute request, and that was totally fine.) And they were able to accommodate (7:30am), however, when we went out the back to leave and thank them for the early breakfast as we walked through the kitchen we heard the kitchen staff complaining about it. :(

Everything about the property was exceptional . Every night Robin put two plates of dessert in the room . The chef made us breakfast sandwiches to go when we weren’t able to be at breakfast. Everything we asked for was taken care of , above and beyond . Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and exceptionally welcoming . They provided us beach chairs and towels when we went to the beach . The bikes were great to explore Beaufort . I see the Rhett Inn as the only place to stay when we return .

We did not like that our stay ended . It was 5 stars all the way around .

We thought the breakfast was excellent. There were many choices and the food arrived warm and promptly. The staff was excellent

We do believe the front porch where we stayed(Unit 15) should have been cleaned better. There was debris in the screens and there were spots on the floor where someone must have dropped something. We thought our room was excellent except that the porch of the next unit had its chairs backed up to the wall and windows of our room. There was very little privacy if someone was on the next door unit porch, unless we closed our blinds. The bed was comfortable and clean, and the room inside was very clean.

This place is a gem. What an awesome find. Perfect location, one block to waterfront and main historical district. Hosts were very friendly accommodating and gave a lot of great advice of where to go and where to eat. The room was outstanding . Beautifully decorated. Loved the shared porch outside the room The house is historical and well maintained. Breakfast was amazing and served by very friendly ladies. We ate at Old Bull Tavern which was simply outstanding. The service and food there was fantastic. Recommend as a must place for eat. Great atmosphere. Waterfront has great places to get a quick bite or drink. Beautiful setting. Rhett house topped the overall experience!!.

Breakfast was excellent, great choices, cooked to perfection, service was superior from all the servers. Room was clean and air conditioner kept room nice and cool for hot weather visit. King size bed could use some improvement to be honest at that level of cost and luxury. Both I and my husband did not find it comfortable for sleeping.

New king sized mattress is in order. Cabinet door to refrigerator could use either replacement or repair. Front screen porch furniture and surrounding area found to be dirty.

There were so many things we loved about this property. We instantly fell in love with the Historic House which is lovely and well maintained. We also noticed and loved the southern hospitality. This location is in walking distance from the waterfront and many shops and restaurants. The extra treats along the way (cookies, cheese/fruit and the desserts). the morning breakfast was delicious and a perfect end to our vacation. We wished we had more time there and do plan to return very soon. we had room 10 which is a honeymoon type room.

EVERYTHING LITERALLY.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Brooke the receptionist showed me around the bed and breakfast and my room and was extremely knowledgeable of the town. Room was lovely and cool with a fan and nice lighting. In the afternoon I was provided a complimentary plate of meat and cheese and in the evening there was desert. The property was quiet and quaint with a beautiful study room. On the doorstep of the waterfront and the historic neighborhood.

That I only had 1 night there. Could have comfortably stayed for a few nights.

Dining room is beautiful. Food and staff were great. I loved the hallway upstairs and the balconies. The front desk staff was exceptional. Bedding and towels and chairs in Hummingbird Room were all very nice.

They need to replace/repair carpet going upstairs and our bedroom carpet needs cleaning. Closet carpet should be replaced or removed. Mattress should be replaced. Bathroom fixtures could use an upgrade but shower is great. Mosquito repellent of some sort is a must.

The Rhett House is a beautiful historic building well-located to wander around Beaufort. We were in the Newcastle Cottage out back which is a separate house with 2 bedrooms, large common room, large kitchen, and nice porch. The common room, kitchen, and porch were great. Gave us privacy and comfort and ease for storing a bit of food and making coffee when we wanted it. Breakfast and desserts were a really nice touch.

The queen room was a bit tight and the window unit augmenting the central air suggests they may have trouble controlling humidity.

The property is beautiful - it takes you back in time to the grand homes of the old south. The veranda is gorgeous, a great place to just relax or enjoy a glass of wine. The complimentary cookies and afternoon snacks were an unexpected surprise and made the stay special. The room was spotless and comfortable. I also loved the fact that they had bicycles that were available to the guests. Overall the property exceeded my expectations.

Loved everything would stay again.
