Howard Johnson by Wyndham Beaufort/Parris Island

The owners and the staff that work here definitely know what it is that they're doing and how to provide their guest here with true sincere hospitality. Their means of conducting their business is absolutely beautiful. I have absolutely no complaints. I was actually able to find peace for the first time in what is I'm pretty sure over a decade. I love the pool. I love the beautiful view that I have from my room looking over the marsh and the water. Being able to experience the actual site of watching the sunrise in the morning is absolutely breathtaking. The beds are comfortable. the rooms are clean there's nothing that I can do except to do what I'm doing right now by making sure that Igive them their props where it's due.

I was worried due to previous reviews... but everything was great. Plenty of pillows, views, and quiet. No bugs. Not a lot of people there. The grounds, hallways, and rooms were clean.

The kiosk. Only because i struggled to hear the employee due to the large lobby and it echoes.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was larger than most with a large frig and microwave. Great view. Bed was clean and comfortable. We'd return! Check in, etc is from a kiosk but it worked fine for us. We received many informative text messages from the front desk. So there were no problems.

Finding the room was confusing at first. More pillows or larger ones.

It's more about what I liked. My room in the back had an incredible view of water and marsh. The lamps had a built-in USB port and there was a receptacle there too. (Too often I've had to move furniture just to find a receptacle.) There was a safe in the room for use. The towels were the nicest I've had on stays in a while. The lobby and front areas were well-kept and there was an offering of pastries and cereal and yogurt and a bagged apple in the morning. The location is very close to everything. It's only a few miles to the downtown historic area and surrounded by many places to shop and eat. Overall, any imperfections did not bother me. I will definitely book here again when I return to the area.

Although there are minor renovations in progress, the buildings with the rooms did not have a great curb appeal. The front on the street and office/lobby looked nice...

the price and location on the marsh

the doors entering the 2 buildings were supposed to be locked, should only be able to open with key. the glass on the left building entrance door has been broken I know 2 years. could not open sliding glass door in room.

I have stayed here several times because of the view of the marshlands. Trees are starting to block the view. The outside appearance is getting very bad and the pool was closed for no reason.

I liked the trees that were along the sidewalk! The open area with the picnic bench that over looked the marsh! It is in a great location. The parking lot was very clean and open. The staff was friendly and spoke to you respectfully! They made it feel like home away from home.

Breakfast choices were slim; however, it is not there fault that they have to follow COVID precautions. My kids were happy, that is what matters more to me. They did have their items single served which is great! As a person that works in the medical field they did well with wearing their masks and accommodating any requests that me or the kids had. I unfortunately did not take photos to post. I will make sure to do so next time I come to stay with Howard Johnson.

When I got there we had a hard rain that top of everything shower and a bed love it my favorite place, I love Wyndham keep up the good work

I love the place and the price is good close to everything

Pool was crystal clear, hotel was close to everything we needed

Nothing against the hotel, but some of the guests were quite sloppy. Apparently there was a baseball team staying at the same time. They took over the pool, left food wrappers and pizza boxes everywhere. Their parents tossed alcohol bottles anywhere they felt like it and brought their alcohol to the pool, literally inside the pool where my children were swimming

Small details about the upgrade, got locked in the bathroom because the door handle wasn’t properly installed, luckily I had a plastic fork in the bathroom to break out with otherwise would have had to call 911. All aspects of checking in were by video automation kiosk…
