Holiday Inn Express Columbia - Two Notch, an IHG Hotel

When I arrived the gentleman at the front desk was responsive, listened, and super nice. When I first arrived in my room, everything was clean. It looked to have been recently cleaned, there was no trash in cans, toilet and shower looked clean, no dust. The bed was comfy.

The shower needed soap. The u s b chargers next to the bed that are built into the wall outlet did not work. Unfortunately, I did not figure this out until the next morning when my phone was not charged. And finally they don't dust under stuff. I was having bad cramps in my legs from exercising so I needed to lay on the floor to stretch my legs out against the wall. Of course this is when you can see everything else. Considering how much the rates have went up on hotels I feel like there should be sufficient staffing to clean not only what can be seen but what cannot.

The hotel room was clean and well laid out. The rooms need more sound proofing--adjacent room occupant's TV could be heard through the wall. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful at ensuring our comfort to include assisting with quieting neighboring occupant's TV. We did not stay for the breakfast but, based on the layout, it appeared to be an excellent assortment of breakfast foods.

Poor sound proofing in the walls and, for a Holiday Inn Express, felt the price was a little higher than desired.

Great location with easy access back onto Interstate to continue our trip next day. Ample breakfast offerings with attentive staff member overseeing - large, clean, attractive dining area. Overall, the room, beds, pillows were comfortable - large clean bathroom with shower Staff at front desk were polite and helpful.

Room was very cold upon arrival, but climate control was easily adjustable. Door to room would stick and was very noisy to close. Our room at the end of the first floor hall had a door out to parking lot, but steps made it harder to access with suitcases.

The hotel was lovely. It was very handy to be able to park very close to the entrance to our room. The complimentary breakfast was delicious....eggs, breakfast meats , biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, cereal....wonderful! It was handy access to I-79 which kept us on track for getting to Florida on time. The Booking.com confirmation stated that there was no parking spot available....this is not true- there is ample parking all around the building.

The walls/doors were obviously not very soundproofed- we heard our neighbours making quite a ruckus in the halls at 1:30 in the morning. That would be our only concern.

The breakfast was decent for the actual price of the room and other amenities offered at this location. The overall room size is outstanding for this style hotel and having a refrigerator and microwave definitely came in handy.

I recommend changing the cup size used for serving juice at breakfast to at least a 6oz cup. The current cups are very small causing an individual to get multiple refills. Room Accommodations, the bed is very comfortable but just a couple inches too high for someone with back injuries. Additionally, whatever products housekeeping is using to clean/mop the floors leave a sticky residue on the floor when walking on it with shoes. Overall, the rooms are cleaned very well and you can definitely tell they have been sanitized as soon as you walk inside.

The staff was EXTREMELY friendly. The hotel was very very VERY clean. The breakfast was VERY good. They had a wide variety of food from hot cinnamon roles, to pancakes in the cutest little conveyer belt machine, to gravy and biscuits. The soap/shampoo/conditioner used in the showers smelled SO good and is a great brand. I was very pleased with my stay and would absolutely stay here again.

The location. There were some 'sketch' people at the road by the location at night that I am pretty sure were under the influence...but I didn't necessarily feel unsafe...I just didn't particularly like seeing that. Also, the beds are extremely high and it was very difficult for my disabled mother to get into. She had to move the stool that is used for suitcases next to the bed.

I want to start to said thank you for everything, This is was my first time in this hotel and I have it a bless vacation. I went there to pass the days with my son who graduated from army BCT. The food is great, hotel is clean, staff the are great no noises rooms clean beautiful rooms in side bed confy. what can I said is more the I even thing and more the I expected. I LOV IT THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES I PRECIATE SO MUCH .

Well I can't said that because everyone, everything is good I going to said 100% great.

This is the 2nd time we’ve been to this hotel and it’s still as great as it was the first time! The rooms are clean and well equipped, the staff are exceptional and so friendly and the breakfast….well it was all fresh and hot! Awesome hotel highly recommended. The only downside which is of course well out of the hotel’s control is the freight trains like to blow their horns in the early hours! There is absolutely nothing the hotel can do about it so certainly won’t mark them down for it.

We had a great stay, had read reviews about outside noises but we didn't have any issues with that. My favorite part was the bathroom. We ended up needing an additional room after our arrival and they were able to accommodate, which was super! Oh and free breakfast was also a plus.

I wish we wish had more non pork option for breakfast . Turkey or beef sausage, turkey bacon,..

The breakfast was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable.

Honestly, I just wish it wasn’t so much money to travel. I realize that it’s just the way it is these days and I’d like to go away more often but hesitate because of hotel prices. This hotel wasn’t any more expensive than it’s competitors, I feel that all hotels are high unless you go to motel six or red roof which I don’t want to do.
