Sunburst Hotel

- next to beach and pier (100m) - cheapest stay for one night (75 dollar) - window in bathroom - room new refurbished - parking - clean - new towels

- internet not working (yet) - loud A/C - we didn't get the room booked on booking (even though booking was made only hours before arrival) - shower quite low (for tall people)

The location was fantastic, and we liked the part of the beach we were right across from. The staff were amazing from check in to check out, and they genuinely seemed to care about their guests having a good time. The room was small and basic— but it was very clean, fairly up to date (smart tv, fresh paint, newer flooring), and the AC was super cold and kept us nice and comfortable. Also I need to say again, the staff were absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be back!

There is no ice machine, however we were told that we had access to a neighboring hotel’s ice machine. Also, you’ll need to bring your own hair drier if that is something you usually use. Very very minor. I will address this only because it is mentioned in some of the other reviews— yes, the area around the hotel seems a little rough. That being said, we felt completely safe while we were there, and we came and went at all hours of the day and late into the evening. At absolutely no point were we concerned for our safety. There is also mention in other reviews of there being a lot of street noise, but our wonderful AC unit also completely drowned out any noise from outside, in addition to keeping us nice and cool.

We stayed yesterday for 2 nights and it was the best 2 nights in Myrtle that we've had in a long time. We come to Myrtle 4 times a year and usually stay at the resorts but hands down, The Sunburst Hotel will be my new vacation spot when traveling with our children. We had so much privacy. We were treated with so much respect...and love! The manager made it his duty to attend to us and our needs. No there isn't a pool or free breakfast but that was fine with us. It was a few feet from the beach and close to many things on the street. (Loud noises from the street the hotel can't change such as traffic)..the hotel is located..on the street but that wasn't an issue. As far as parking, there were enough parking spots to find a spot on the location. As far as cleanliness 10/10. Bed was very comfty and so was the pullout couch for the kids. We had the suite and it was furnished to our liking, updated, we had 2 tvs, one in the br one in the living room, the bathroom is in the bedroom. We had an entire balcony all to our selves!! I highly recommend paying for the 1 bedroom suite it is worth the price receiving all that privacy inside and also outside your room!!! What else can I say...if you need a family friendly hotel, close to the beach with privacy and seclusion stay at The Sunburst Hotel and pay for the 1 bedroom suite with balcony!!

i liked how easy the check in process was. Once we got to our room it was very quiet and comforting. The closest beach access was just a stroll across the street which was very convenient.

Make sure you have extra cash or extra money available. I say this because the couple in front of us in line checking in and my husband and I both experienced an issue regarding a hold that was placed to guarantee your room, but once you check in the hold is released and they attempt to charge your card again. This caused an issue with both the couple in front of us and us because the funds weren’t automatically returned to the card causing the card to decline. So just be aware of this situation. The room wasn’t as clean as I would have liked it. The towels had some stains, there was a dirty wash rag and long strands of hair in the shower, and left over food and drinks in the mini fridge.

I liked how comfortable the bed was and big. I liked how the refrigerator and microwave have their own cabinet. I liked how the bathroom was set up. I also liked how the room I stayed at had a flat screen television.

I liked how the hand towels and wash clothes were folded. I liked how the bed was setup. I liked how cleaned it was, when I stayed there.

The owner was extremely friendly and easy to talk to while checking in as well as went above and beyond expected 5hroughout entire stay. The room was amazing and probably by far one of my most favorite rooms I've ever stayed in st Myrtle Beach. It was quiet and comfortable and very relaxing for myself and my husband! Overall new owners have done a wonderful job at remodeling the e property and turning it into a family friendly hotel to create new memories at! 😊

Only thing I wish it had was a pool. Nothing fancy just something to jump into and cool off besides having to go to the beach and swim in ocean. Although the beach is literally across the street which is easy to get to and from having a pool of is alot easier to go to lol

This is a small boutique hotel with nicely decorated rooms and a relaxing atmosphere. This hotel has just been renovated. We had the junior suite with terrace, a queen bedroom, living room with a limited kitchen galley. It was lovely to st on the terrace in the evening. The gentleman managing the hotel goes out of his way to make sure his guests are comfortable and happy. Great service that is really worth the stay!! We stayed two days, it was quiet and serene. The rooms were very clean which is very important to me. No bugs at all!! The beach was just across the street, a short walk. Very convenient to the 2nd Avenue Pier and Wicked Tuna restaurant, great view and good food and not far from the Sky wheel. I would definitely stay there again especially with such personal service that many larger establishments lack.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. It was my husband and I traveling and he is disabled. As soon as We arrived the gentleman in the front desk helped me with the luggage and get settled. I really appreciate that.

There was no hot water. We could not watch TV. it was very loud outside because motorcycle riding up and down the street.

For running down to the Grand Strand for a quick afternoon at the beach before returning on the morrow it was an inexpensive option. A short walk to and from the beach and back to shower off the sand and slumber.

Close to the beach means close to the beach crowds who are beyond the control of the hotel. I suppose it was a sign of nightlife nearby we did not care to join,; in the rear of the building the AC fan muffled most of it and I drifted off. My friend had the room closest to the street and recommends avoiding that one.
