Best Western Thunderbird Motel

I was so pleasantly surprised by how nice our stay was here!! We got in super late after the Taylor Swift concert and the woman working the front desk was so sweet. She was welcoming and very helpful. It is clear that this place takes safety seriously by getting the make, license plate, and state of registration of all guests cars. As two college girls traveling together, safety is an absolute MUST and the Thunderbird delivered. The room was very clean and the shower had great water pressure. The beds were very comfortable with very plush pillows and soft sheets. In the morning we stopped by the free breakfast before heading out and the options were right on par with any hotel continental breakfast. There were also lots of grab and go options like Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and single-portion cereals. Check-in and check-out were a breeze as well. Will absolutely stay here again!!

The building is old but they have made many renovations and they are ongoing. The two sink vanities are a very convenient feature for a couple to both be able to access at the same time. Their hot breakfast with eggs and sausage or bacon is very good and staffed with an employee that keeps the breakfast well stocked and the tables wiped after each use to keep things moving.

This hotel is very close to a busy street and is built for room access from the parking lot. These features combine for potential for a lot of noise (street noise and guest noise while loading and unloading their luggage), I prefer the hotel with inside doors to enter the rooms. We did get a room near the back of the property, and it was quiet.

Just passing through and needed a decent place to stay. The reviews were good so we chose this one. The motel was a Very quiet area. I believe the place was almost full and we had No issues. Very roomy room with two sinks was a nice surprise. Has an outside elevator to the second floor.  The breakfast was decent and the staff very friendly. We did no go in the pool, but we did notice several people were enjoying it.

Didn’t come in with big expectations so we left satisfied with no complaints .

The motel was very well placed to access the intestate and other roads. There were a couple of restaurants conveniently nearby as were local shops etc. Even though the motel was on a busy highway my room was quiet and I heard no traffic noise. The staff came in and tidied the room each day which was welcomed as it does not happen in all motels.

There was nothing that particularly niggled me or irritated me.

The lady at the reception was very friendly and even called me about an item I had left at the reception. The room was clean, and all the amenities were working. We were too late to use the pool, but it was there. Wi-Fi worked very well. Breakfast was surprisingly good and included eggs and sausages. Bathroom was clean, no problems with hot water. Overall, it was a good one-night stay.

Nothing about the hotel itself, it was fine. The location wasn't great, but it's Cookeville. Getting something to eat at 10pm if you don't have a car is basically impossible because your only options are drive-throughs. Crossing the street is a dangerous affair anywhere in this town. At least, there was a crosswalk for pedestrians relatively close to the hotel, which is already impressive. If you have a car, you would be much better off.

The breakfast was very good. Nice selection. Wish that they had had juice to drink. The attendant was very helpful.

The pool did not look very clean. The water was very cloudy and didn't feel like it had any chlorine in it. The pool needed to be scrubbed. We did get in, but was not happy about the looks of it.

Great location, nice staff. Close to restaurants, and shopping. Planet fitness is close by. Good breakfast and the room was a great size. Had a handicap accessible room with a roll in shower.

The room was musty, it needed to be aired. Bought my own free breeze and sprayed the room. The bathroom could use better ventilation to remove humidity after showers. It would help with the musty smell.

We had the best hotel experience we have had in a long time. Breakfast was made in small batches so it was always fresh. We loved that there were lots of options so we didn’t have to eat the same thing for breakfast every day for the whole week. There was always someone there to help even before we asked. The staff was phenomenal. We really appreciated that there was a washer and dryer available for a small fee. The room and bathroom was clean. I didn’t have to worry about anything gross with the baby crawling on the floor like other hotels. We visit Cookeville a lot and will definitely be returning to this location.

Everything,our room was much bigger than usual,very clean had carpet and we was able to walk barefoot no problem very clean and soft the wall divided our beds from the bathroom and the beds are very comfortable, just loved it.the pool was good and had a nice breakfast,just right off the interstate and had plenty of restaurants and shopping stores to choose from.

Couldn't stay any longer

This was the second time we stayed, and just like the first time, the room was very clean and nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful .a big nice clean pool ,Restaurants shopping, and all of this right off the Interstate .if you are traveling and need to stop, Best Western Thunderbird Motel is the place.
