Motel 6-Gatlinburg, TN - Smoky Mountains

Location! besides the affordability location is probably the best thing I like about this hotel we stayed at a lot of hotels in Gatlinburg but this one is the quietest the strip it’s just right down the street and around the corner from the gas station at the end of the strip before you get into the national park this hotel backs up to the national park there’s a stream out back a lot of the rooms have balconies that face the stream they’re very quiet and peaceful to sit out there and have your morning coffee so if you want a quiet clean affordable and close to the strip here you go. during our stay they were updating the property doing a lot of renovations. And we saw a huge bear in the dog potty area just a heads up take a peek out your door and before you get out of your car take a look around a good minute!

What we didn’t like. Property lights could be brighter. There could be some bear warning signs posted on the property. Warning customers to always be bear aware in the area. We didn’t see the bear in the dumpster when we got out of the car that night was only 20 feet behind us. Probably not a good idea hotels construction crew put the dumpster in the dog potty area!

I loved our Jacuzzi tub! We used it every night. The staff was friendly, room was clean, decent location, although I thought the motel was more on the strip than it was. It still was close enough where we could walk to do things we wanted to do. For the price, it was definitely a good deal. It was kept clean, housekeeping was good, staff was friendly, and helpful. The property looks a little deceiving you would think from the outside it wouldn’t be as nice as it was inside, but it was great. Don’t over look this little motel it’s a great deal for a short little get away. I strongly recommend the rooms with a jacuzzi tub especially for couples for a little romantic getaway. I was overall highly impressed and really don’t have any complaints.

Close to strip national park cheap comfortable clean. Plus they allow pets we’ve never brought our pet but know that if we ever need to we can big plus. Oh I have to say something about the lady that works the front desk I’ll be darned if I can’t remember her name she is awesome very nice always very accommodating!

Needs to be better property lighting There needs to be more bear aware signs and construction company for hotel should not be allowed to put their dumpsters in the dog potty area

Our room was everything we wanted! Very comfy king bed,huge jet tub and so clean we were very pleased. There was a creek below our balcony it was so peaceful we never knew we had neighbors close. When we first pulled in we saw a bear they say it comes every day but we missed it the second day we were there

If I had to complain about anything it would be the parking lot, it was kind of hard to back out depending on where u parked

I love the location of this hotel, it is an easy walk to downtown, and an easy drive out to the mountains or bypass to Pigeon Forge. The staff here are so kind especially the lady the works during the day, she actually remembered me from last year, she is so kind and wonderful.

Only complaint I would have is owner charges way too much for the room, the floor was so dirty my feet turned black walking on it barefoot and the bathroom was filthy. I will stay here again because of location and staff.

The room was perfectly clean, it had plenty of room, it had a hardwood floor which my dog loved, the lady at the front desk was awesome. The location was nice because it was back a little bit from the hustle and bustle so I felt my dogs were safe from cars. They had an area to walk my dogs. I like that they used a blanket with a sheet over it instead of a comforter.

My heather/air conditioner was just a little noisy. Not a big deal though.

The hot tub in room 236 was probably the best hot tub I've ever had in a room before. It was very big and the jets were really powerful.

The TV sucked. It took forever to go from one channel to the next or turn the volume up or down. They really need to upgrade the TVs. Also, the parking was crazy in the front, by the office. They had some of them so close together that I had to do like a 5 point turn to back out.

Was not any breakfast, only coffee, which was good. Housekeeping was excellent, clean towels and linens everyday, staff was friendly, room was clean. Pool was out of use for 3 of our 5 day stay, was disappointed with that.

Pool was out of use for three of our 5 day stay. Was 95 degrees and no pool to cool down in. Manager is a little rough on the fine art of dealing with the public.

Super clean good smelling room that was very comfortable! The staff where all very friendly and kind. Loved the room we where in because it was in the back facing the creek, very private and quiet and close to everything in Galinburg and I mean walking distance! Super great stay!

The staff was super friendly. Location was awesome and we got to see several bears in the area nightly. Staff was super kind about my dog and I even witnessed how they handled a room that had a dog get loose and others in room barking a lot. They simply just kept trying to get in touch with the owners and made sure the dog was safe!

I really can't say anything negative about the room or the staff. I mean you get what you pay for but I still say it was exceptional.
