When we arrived, we were greeted by the inn-keeper who upgraded our room, due to work being done in our original room. He upgraded our room without an additional fee. The accommodations were exceptionally clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The sheets smelled wonderful! So impressed to see how the owner’s maintained historical accuracy with the decor!

The only suggestion would be to have a second sign stating “Watch your head” on one of the stairs leading to the second floor. The one currently posted was missed by my significant other and he hit his head rather hard. He hadn’t seen it.

My adult son and daughter had never been to a historic inn and really enjoyed the experience. The room was beautiful and clean as was the bathroom.

I really can’t think of much other than the breakfast choices probably wouldn’t be a substantial enough meal for the hungry traveler. Neither my daughter nor I are big morning eaters, so we were fine, but my son wanted a second breakfast not long after we’d left for the day.

We stumbled upon this location after losing our hotel room to overbooking at the last minute. Since there were no other hotels available in all of M'boro, we widened the search and found the Belmont. Super responsive to texts, we were provided with all the info we needed within minutes of booking. We arrived late without any issues and left early. The place was beautiful, clean and well-appointed. Breakfast options were vast, in a DIY fashion. It lacked nothing. Cost was fair and was in line with the area hotels, but we got so much more for the price. Would highly recommend!

More lighting in the parking area would have made it a little easier. I didn't park in my assigned spot bc I didn't actually see it until I walked past it, but there was plenty of parking available.

Very clean and with surprisingly modern amenities. The breakfast is continental (do it yourself), but has a very good variety and quality. Good local restaurants and sights to see.

The mattress in Room #1 was not the most comfortable as it may be "memory foam" that remembered past guests. There was a definite high point in the middle that was hard to roll "uphill." A little thing, but worth mentioning as there was NO other negative to this stay.

The home was beautiful in walking distance of the Town's Square and fun shops. The owners were friendly and so was there beautiful fur grandbaby Bruce. Also got to interact with other guest who were awesome. I would definitely stay again if visiting the Shelbyville area.

I usually enjoy a bigger breakfast and it was exactly what they said it would be. So honestly I can't complain. I brought sausage to go with my waffles. So it was actually good. I just needed something to go in the sad face box and that was all I could think of.😉

Great room in a beautiful house. Very comfortable and clean room, great shower and excellent breakfast. The sheets on the bed were beyond soft!!!

Would have liked to spend a bit more time sitting on the beautiful porch, but the traffic outside the house was a bit too heavy.

Historic home has a real "homey" feel. Decorated 18th-19th century with lots of antiques. No one disturb us at all. Clean, comfortable, helpful management.

Breakfast was fine but limited. Parking is a little tight but safe and workable.

The do-it-yourself breakfast was perfect for us, as we are light morning eaters and just want coffee and a little something. I loved the history of the house and the age-appropriate furnishings and pictures on the walls.

There was a very noisy guest in the room above ours. Wish I had brought my ear plugs!

Disappointed …. No Bed & Breakfast Self Service Property… self service check in using a code to the front door of the house Self Service Continental Breakfast in a small dining area… all prepackaged food. Cereals and Little Debbie Cakes

I just loved the history of the Inn and the historical complements within the Inn. It was a privilege to have the opportunity to spend time in such a wonderfully preserved piece of history.

We didn't mind the breakfast items available for our one breakfast, but if we were staying longer than one night, we would have preferred breakfast items that were non-packaged and healthier.
