Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Gainesville, an IHG Hotel

The front staff was very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was a good variety. But the pancake machine was not working.

Gal in the breakfast area was not real friendly. We had 5 people in our room and had to ask for more towels each day. Towels in the pool area were small hand towels instead of larger bath towels. Had ants in our room. The bath tub was was really slippery. Needs some nonslip stuff on it. Could use hand rails to assist getting in and out.

Hot tub was great but needed a step to get in and out of! Breakfast was okay-but I was there for 2 weeks and they could’ve changed it up a little!

There was no step to get in and out of the hot tub and I fell and hurt myself pretty bad!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beds were very comfy and clean.

The hotel could definitely be freshened up a bit. The room is very old and outdated. I forgot my toothbrush, and they didn't have any for sale, but they have snacks. I think it's more important to have hygiene items for sale.

The breakfast was mediocre. The bacon was overcooked to the point that it was inedible. The eggs were small patties, folded over with cheese in the middle. They were dry and tasteless. The only saving grzce was the bisquits and sausage gravy.

Pool water cold no movement ....Door to pool back door broken seem unsafe someone could come off street into pool area...I was in 231# ceiling in bathroom coming down but quite slept good i was on my 37th wedding anniversary while my husband work in the city it was quite remote to tv no backs to either TV

There was no meat offered with breakfast, i.e. bacon, sausage. Fruits, yogurt would be welcome additions.

The breakfast was not suitable for diabetics, consisting mainly of sweet rolls, and other carbs. Only scrambled eggs were offered as a protein source.

The room was clean and roomy. The breakfast was very good. The bed was quite comfy.

My husband takes pills at bedtime. Apparently when we left on Saturday he left those pills in a zipper pill case. He did not discover that he did not have them until Saturday night. I called first thing in the morning on Sunday and asked if they had found them. I was told that they found nothing in the room. We only stayed there Friday night and then we were at my daughter's home. I know that they were left there and apparently were not turned in. Does not make me feel confident in staying at that motel again.

Room was clean with lots of space. The bed was very comfortable.

The air conditioner/heater was noisy. We had another problem that occurred, after we checked out we received a call asking us if we where staying another night. Stating the maid said we still has our clothes in the room. Our card was charged for another night. We called back stating we had already turned in our room keys and had no plans to stay another night. I think maid stated the wrong room number. I called the front desk to get this matter resolved and the person I talked with got a little rude with me.

Breakfast was ok. I rate a stay by cleanliness, weather the sink and bathtub drain properly/don’t back up and the bed is comfortable. Everything passed. The price was fair and a good value. I stayed at another hotel in the area but in my next trip I will stay at Holiday Inn

Breakfast could have been better, especially the juice.

The hotel staff was friendly. The breakfast was one of the best we have had at our many stays at different hotels. Our stay was quiet.

Our ac did not cool the room off to our liking; and the water never got hotter than a lukewarm.
