Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Texarkana East, an IHG Hotel

it was easy to get to from the highway

We requested early check-in. The gentleman that I spoke to in the morning said it wouldn’t be a problem but to call back at 1-2pm. When I did - the front desk rep I spoke to said not until 3pm. I called again at 2:30pm and she would not let us in early at all. we sat in our car in the parking lot from 9am until 3pm when we were finally allowed to our room. I was disappointed by this. we had lost power at our residence out of state and slept in the car so we would have cool air and really we just wanted to get into our room but she would not let us until 3pm.

Everything was good, but the front desk receptionist could have had some help to make guests not wait too long and the cleaning crew would have pulled the used sheet off of the folding bed.

I did not get to eat breakfast because the room temperature was too hot. I had to take only a cup of coffee upon exiting.

A cooler atmosphere. I did not receive a print-out of my room service upon exiting. I did not receive confirmation on my $25 deposit that I paid. Will it be deposited to my account?

Friendly & welcoming staff, very clean room, comfortable beds, generous amount of towels, good sized room, and a great delicious hot complimentary breakfast. The location is nice, ample amount of parking, and did I mention they have wonderful people who work at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel, an I would definitely stay here again when passing through.

The only negative, and this is not the hotel's fault. There were some rude tenants or renters, that would slam doors and thump & drop their junk throughout the evening. Again, not the hotel's fault, not everyone was brought up to use manners.

I like the breakfast choices everyday except I wish there was waffles too and more bacon than sausage because my kids love it! The staff was super friendly and helpful!

very clean, beds were great, quiet, awesome Mexican restaurant right in view of hotel, breakfast was very good!

we booked two queens, got a king (not a huge deal but at least tell us when we check in) shower was pretty bad. pressure was low and my husband ran out of hot water. SLOW elevators. we were on the 4th floor and seriously thought about just taking the stairs.

They accommodated our parking situation with a trailer, the bedding was amazing for a hotel, staff super friendly, pool was perfect, yummy breakfast, huge rooms.

they still have carpet in all the rooms, which I find outdated and unhygienic.

Breakfast was bigger than expected given the cover 19 restriction on food. We expected individual package food items, however we received a full choice of breakfast items that was served to us. Hotel was easy to get to and the check in and out procedure was quick and easy.

I surprise about the refundable damage deposit, however it was cheaper than other hotels in the area.

Staff was great, Had a mixup with the wheel chair accessible room but the staff straghten that issue right out with a better room than expected...

noise above us, sounded like they were wstomping on purpose...

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and enjoyed myself both times. It’s clean and comfortable. It’s also in a great location, and it’s priced reasonably. I’ll definitely be staying in the near future.
