The Slot Canyons Inn strikes an excellent balance of feeling like an inn while also feeling like a home. Joette was incredibly friendly and was always happy to tell us about the history of the inn and the site (seriously, ask her about it, it goes back way further than the inn itself), and Candy makes an excellent breakfast. There is also an incredibly friendly cat on the ranch who will demand to be petted at every opportunity. The land the inn sits on is gorgeous and worth taking a stroll on during down time. At least make time to go see the petroglyphs. It’s an excellent place to stay if you’re going exploring in Grand Staircase, and it’s also excellent for relaxing in the inn all day.

Many flies in summer, though fortunately they mostly swarmed around the car and didn’t come inside. The aforementioned cat snuck into the trunk while we were loading the van and we nearly drove off with a new pet cat by mistake.

fantastic owner, fantastic location, fantastic room, and fantastic food! just book this place!

Lovely Inn, with Large rooms and very comfortable. Our room had a balcony with gorgeous views. Joette was lovely and Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Homemade yogurt and granola was especially good! About 5 miles from town so very peaceful.

Only thing was, that there were a lot of flies inside for some reason. Definitely didn't detract from the beauty of the Inn, but was odd.

Oh this is the best place to stay in Escalante. The breakfast is exceptional made by the host and is at least $20 per head with fresh apricots, home made jam and good coffee even during pandemic. Room and bed are comfortable. You can see the stars from this place as it's far from the main town. Great place. Would love to go back.

The jacuzzi jets stopped working in between. The TV is really old and not much place to hang clothes.

This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. owner Joette Marie and her staff - Star and Candy were all exceptional and made us feel at home. From the moment we walked in the front door we knew we'd picked a great place to spend our weekend. The breakfast items prepared were delicious and the perfect way to get our day started. Our room was clean and comfortable. Next time we head south we know where we'll be staying. Thanks to the three of you for an absolute perfect weekend!! Since getting home I've missed your wonderful homemade bread every morning!

occasional yellowish water but being in a rural city that's how it is. can't really knock the Inn for that it's the water supply. We had bottled water and used that to brush our teeth so for us not a deal breaker.

The accomodations were amazing, surpassed only by the attentiveness of the staff. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant and it was an amazing experience, both in terms of the ambience and views as well as the food. The location of facility provides an incredible nighttime stargazing experience as well!

The fact that we were only able to spend one night there

Breakfast, setting and staff preparing/serving breakfast were all excellent. Food was fresh, homemade and delicious. Staff were friendly and very welcoming.

Bed was a little too soft for my taste and room although very nice, could use a little freshening up, such as new carpets, etc. Online booking service was a little confusing; not totally clear regarding the final price. It wasn’t clear to me that taxes were not included. But owner was very pleasant to deal with and very accommodating.

This was great! The food and service are excellent. The location is convenient to the highway and to the town of Escalante. We were in transit from St George to Great Basin National Park and this is about half way there. You can see many birds and other animals right on the property. It was very peaceful there.
