Fairfield by Marriott Waterbury Stowe

Large spacious room, and very clean. The bathrooms was very good size and was sparkling white and clean. The location was convenient for our stay and we had to drive about 10-15 minutes to get into the city (we wanted to keep things quite)

The AC fan kept cutting off and made the bed in the room really warm and stuffy at night. The windows didn't open so there was no ventilation. We kept fighting with the bed covers (blanket/duvet) the entire night cos it kept getting warm and cold while the AC fan came off and on.

Breakfast was great. So much better than what you often get for a buffet breakfast. Food was hot, kept well stocked and healthy options were available. Pool and hot tub were also great. And the lighting in the room was so nice between the overhead lights and all the lamps.

The mattress on the pullout sofa was particularly uncomfortable, even for my 8 and 10 year olds. I would get 2 Queens in the future.

Very clean hotel in an excellent location for touring Vermont. Very good breakfast. The hotel workers were very helpful. As we were in New England for 1 month vacation - the hotel's washing machine was an excellent addition for us. A highly recomended place.

The exit from the hotel's (wonderful) parking area to the main road is a bit of adventure because of visibility problems, but we survived.

Good proximity to Stowe Mountain Resort - 20 min drive. Easy access to Ben and Jerry’s and Shaw’s grocery store (Safeway). Indoor pool was good for kids. Good size bathroom and comfortable rooms/beds. Coffee (K-cup), microwave and small refrigerator provided. Breakfast was also provided which was pretty good too.

Smaller pool could fill up fast when lots of families showed up. Covid rules were in effect during our stay which meant no daily room cleaning, and towel changes on request only.

Rooms were quiet despite one by of our rooms being across from the ice machine and elevators! The rooms are very clean and large.

The reservations for two rooms were made a couple of months ago but when we arrived after check in time one room was not ready. We proceeded to the one room with our luggage to wait but later I received a call from front desk advising me they had made a mistake with my reservation. I had requested adjoining rooms or rooms next to each other and they didn’t have any so they offered a larger room at no additional charge on same floor. The room was very nice but this was still an inconvenience after traveling for several hours to have to worry about not having a room when I had confirmation.

It was right off the highway and close to downtown Waterbury and Stowe. The parking is right by the door. The rooms are modern and in great condition. I was there in summer and the air conditioning worked great and was quiet.

The walls/floors seem to transmit sound. It was not terrible, but I definitely knew when my neighbors took their shower and the people above were walking around with shoes. The breakfast is the typical low end kind - boxed cereal, yogurt, a few baked goods, warmed over eggs, and waffle machine.

The staff provided excellent service despite being slammed over a holiday weekend. They always provided helpful information or quick answers. The general manager served up breakfast on the 4th of July and ensured food and utensils were plentiful despite things running out now and then. Amenities are spotlessly clean, very well maintained, and lovely. The pool was particularly great, with restrictions to avoid too many people.

The gentlemen at the front desk was so helpful. I asked him about a local car wash, where I could get Vermont Maple Syrup and a restaurant that serves salads and he came through with all three, all very close by the hotel and all great recommendations The hotel itself is very nice and new, clean and nice room, comfortable bed. Good location

Great work of the staff. It was flooding all over Vermont and the staff was very helpful in finding us places to eat and how to travel. They helped in finding great dinner even under difficult conditions.

We enjoyed the breakfast, the cleanliness and quietness. The stuff was friendly and helpful..

I found that there was very little wardrobe space in the room. Also the lighting in the room was very dim.
