White Horse Lodge

…almost everything. Especially the actual plug strips — two of them in the room — which made recharging all my devices and lights vastly easier. The bed and beddings were just heavenly. Also, lots of wonderful artworks, in the room and all over the Lodge. Set back a bit from the road, so even though I was in the front it was nice and quiet. The innkeeper is simply awesome.

No caffeinated teas; wish there was breakfast, but as my dad used to say, “what, do you want egg in your beer?“

We loved our stay and Dana and Zan were fabulous, they made the check in process very seamless and contactless but were available onsite for any questions or concerns, we loved having the fridge in the common area and the microwave as well as the beautiful fireplace room, we just wish there was a fire going! We will be back, and Lola was their adorable friendly doggy was there to play with, i hope she will be there when we visit again!

I know when people read these reviews like myself it's a make or break it, but let me just stop you. Your answer is YES STAY HERE! I have literally no exaggeration with and without the military traveled all over the states and I have never stayed in a nicer place period. Anything and everything you can ask for is here. The breakfast is fresh, delicious and different everyday. The staff is so kind you can't put a scale to it. The housekeeping services and so quick but yet so thorough they put many leading corporations to shame! The couple who owns this Inn should be proud of what they have accomplished. This is truly a beautiful and relaxing space. We look forward to visiting next fall again!

The White Horse Inn exceeded my expectations! The breakfast was outstanding. A variety of freshly prepared foods, lots of options, the food was plentiful, absolutely delicious and the presentation was like being at a gourmet resturant. Coffee and fresh baked goods are always available. The Inn is beautifully decorated, comfortable and cozy. Our room was very clean, with lots of pillows, a very comfortable bed, and space to put our belongings. The location is perfect if you are a skiier.

Nice place. I only noticed as I was leaving how wonderful and warm the den/lounge area is, and wished I could've lingered there a bit. The halls in the wing my room was in felt, as another guest cheerfully described it, like a rest home: narrow and somewhat the sterile. But my room, though rather cramped, was comfortable, clean, decently outfitted, and decorated with some flair. I loved the owners' story of the place. The buffet breakfast was gorgeous!

I would love to see this inn up-green (and save themselves some money) by installing dispensers of soap, shampoo, etc., rather than having individual travel-sized toiletries, which consume lots of unnecessary plastic that winds up in our landfills.

One owner blew up at our friend when he came for coffee first thing in the morning and yelled at him in public resulting in an embarrassing situation apparently because he did not recognize him as a guest . To me that means he either personally greets each guest to remember them (doubtful) or just occasionally freaks out cause he thinks some vagrant has invaded his establishment for their great selection of Vermont coffees. Either scenario seems -plausible at this point. No apology was ever -offered. The only strange dark stain to an otherwise pleasant stay

No breakfast. While the staff was exceptional an very clean, room was quite small - difficult to move around bed and shower extremely small (and I’m not a ‘big’ woman, approx 5’4” tall, weight 130 lbs)

The breakfast was decedent. One of the owners was exceedingly friendly and engaging and the other was nice and pleasant but not as socially embracing as the other; but he was hard at work cooking the food, so likely he was simply distracted/focused. I have been to a plethora of similar venues and this was notably exceptional: from A to Z! Simply a wonderful place to stay. If you are a hiker or skier, awesome! I am the former but not the latter. The proximity to great trails kept me entertained but if I did not engage in this physical activity, short of chilling at the B&B and reading, etc. in their pleasant lounge (which can be nice), I would have run out of things to do there. I hiked each day I was there, less the day I departed, so I was fully happy and engaged; without the hiking opportunity, other than the exceedingly cool farmer's market on Saturday, with live and talented music, I would have gone a bit stir crazy; but, again, all was great!

Awesome little b&b. Absolutely beautiful and welcoming. Quiet(when other guests are quiet too), pleasant and clean. The registration was very easy, the staff( Bob and Allen) very friendly and understanding, they helped us with everything we needed. It really felt very homey. The delicious cookies were a big plus and the breakfast incredible. Swear those were the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had. Generous with the bacon too. We were sad to be there for only one night. Would absolutely go there again if given the opportunity

Love the breakfast, a great variety. Keurig tea/coffee pods and delicious cookies available anytime in the cozy fireplace. Room feels like home. Love the instruction handbook in the room, I enjoyed reading the history of the inn and fun facts about VT. And a little bit too late to see restaurant recommendations, it could be very helpful. However, pay attention to small extra local tax that the owner said it's not reflected on booking.com.
