Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Culpeper

Bed was comfortable and though what looked like to be an older room, it was clean. There was a slight odor in the room, however. Good room for the money.

During the day, it seemed like an okay area. However, when I returned to my room at 10 p.m. I was a little nervous. There were people in the back area of the parking lot (which was the only place left to park). It sounded like a party by their vehicles. There were also several people just wandering back and forth by the motel. I definitely did not feel safe. I was happy to get to my room.

Stayed to be close to the hospital while my husband was patient. The reservation was easy, staff were very helpful and the common area and room looked so nice and clean, well maintained. The room smelled lovely, bed was comfy so I slept well, no noise but I enjoyed even more next morning when I was able to eat a delicious breakfast early before visiting at hospital. Kuddos for the cook. I'm very fussy about food being cooked the way I like it and well seasoned, but I had no complaint whatsoever. Sausage gravy was some of the best and eggs yummy.

Breakfast was good. Hot breakfast options a bit limited but tasted decent. They take food safety somewhat serious with signs for 1 use utensils and asking people not to touch food with their hands. Our room was very clean. Lots of mirrors as well to help getting ready. Dog friendly hotel and we love dogs.

Pillows weren't comfortable. Even though no smoking, we could smell a strong scent of weed when we first got in our room, it eventually went away. Walls were a little thin, could hear the room next to us arguing at 1am.

The desk receptionist when we checked in was exceptional in making us feel welcome!!!! There was an issue with me forgetting my license and she made it a point to make sure it got back in my hand personally!!! You could always smell the cleaning that was going on especially in the lobby when they were mopping!! Will definitely stay there again and have a completely different opinion of Microtel Inn & Suites since they are owned by Wyndham!!

The breakfast was awesome. Even 2 years once Covid hit we were offered a hot breakfast. THe menu changed each morning. There was fruit , pastries and bread. Hot biscuits or eggs with sausage and hash browns. Bagels, grits , oatmeal and yogurt were all offered. They went over and beyond with cleanliness with the food and the rooms. The rooms were spacious and very clean. It was a good location for the National Park.

Nothing great place to stay.

The breakfast exceeded my expectations. The woman keeping the area stocked and cleaned was charming and deserved a raise. She was engaging the customers in conversation, and along with the excellent food she prepared, she made the dining very comfortable. She made us feel at home. There are not many people like her; make sure you do not lose her. I cannot say enough about how pleasant our stay was. Even our dog and our granddaughters enjoyed it. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were nicely made, and the large mirror gave the room the feel of being even more extensive than it was. The bathroom was clean. The Hotel Wifi worked well, and I could keep up with my work. The breakfast was a highlight. The food and the lady that served the food were fantastic. All in all, it was a wonderful home away from home experience. We were there during Thanksgiving, and still, the staff made us feel as if we were home for the holiday.

There was nothing that I could say was not up to par. This hotel did an excellent job. The staff was friendly, and even though we were there over Thanksgiving when (I am sure) they were a bit short-staffed, the team ran everything efficiently and pleasantly. You could tell they were busy.

I couldn’t believe the value of the room for the price! I immediately loved how “homey” and sweet it was walking in. It really had such personal touches (even a Christmas candle burning that made me think of home!) The suite was- well, sweet. So much space! I took such a wonderful bath and even had space for a little yoga sesh in the morning. I felt like I had my own little mini apartment for the night-a welcome treat for a traveler. The woman working behind the desk was a complete gem, everything was super clean and I loved seeing the staff with their kiddos…breakfast was pretty dang great too! What a wonderful surprise this booking turned out to be 🙃

The only weird thing was that all the doors literally SLAM shut if not closed carefully. Which, can make it pretty loud.

The staff at this hotel is always delightful, happy, and super helpful. The breakfast in the morning is lovely! The hotel has been renovated and done really nicely. They took an old hotel and have made it fresh and nice. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is just terrific. Especially for the price.

In our room, we could smell cigarette smoke in the bathroom. But it was in the bathroom only. Was not a huge deal.

The room was comfortable and I had a nice view. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was convenient and even as a vegetarian I was able to have breakfast every day before heading to the battlefields. The location wasn't too bad but on the opposite side of town from most of my activities.

I thought the hotel would be a little more high end from the photos. I usually like to stay in more unique places, privately owned hotels, but 5hat being said, my room was pleasant, comfortable and clean and the staff, lovely. It was a bit generic but the town itself and the historic sites more than made up for that

The place was very clean and well kept. The room looked exactly like the pictures--no surprises. The breakfast had many choices and was very well stocked. The area was clean and orderly.

I was hoping for sausages or a breakfast meat as I don't eat scrambled eggs. I ended up with a hard boiled egg which met my need for a protein, so it was okay.
