Holiday Inn Fredericksburg - Conference Center, an IHG Hotel

Staff were friendly and professional (check-in, check-out and bar). Note to manager: Lauren deserves a special note of thanks. On her meal break and heading out for food, she saw that I needed some help and offered to assist. She took the time to resolve my IT issues and did it with a smile. She could have easily deferred me to another staff member but didn’t. I truly felt like a valued customer. As a result of Lauren’s initiative and approach, you can expect to see in future stays. Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to Lauren.

When I booked, I asked for a quiet room. We were assigned a room at the end of a long corridor, on the second floor, which was perfect. No passing footfall on the corridor. Far from the lift and ice machine. Good night's sleep. Not all hotels on this trip were so diligent in meeting my request. There is an IHOP just across the road, where we had a very nice breakfast.

No decent restaurants in the vicinity. We drove 5 miles to Park Lane Tavern, which seemed to be the closest place with good reviews.

I picked this hotel because it was close to the family function I was attending. It is closely located to the thriving local area of restaurants. The hotel was modern, new and very clean. Our room was very welcoming and comfortable. I loved the soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower. So convenient! I also loved the amount of USB ports for our charging needs. The swimming pool was great! Warm and good sized. I really would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We weren't there very long, and I don't know if they usually have the USA Today, but they didn't have any. Not a big deal

The breakfast was delicious! This hotel is almost perfect here are my recommendations to get it to perfection. 1) Add additional staff to prepare breakfast. The breakfast itself was delicious, however, the wait was not efficient. The coffee was very good, however, we had to stand and wait 10 minutes for coffee refills, which we had to pay for, for staff to come out of the kitchen. SET COFFEE POTS OUTSIDE IN THE LOBBY SO GUESTS CAN GET THEIR OWN COFFEE AND NOT HAVE TO WAIT. Even the cheapest hotels that don't even have the quality that your hotel has, have coffee pots set out for guests. When I return, and I will, I hope you have corrected this problem! As a retired, college educated - public relations professional, these are my recommendations. However, thank you for a great stay!

Accessibility to coffee and additional help in the food service area is needed.

Staff were nice and helpful. The restaurant and bar area were also nice and updated. The workout area was good also. We had a short notice booking and check in and did not really encounter any issues. As for the room itself the bedding was comfortable and the room size was decent. The bathroom was also spacious and had been recently redone.

We were on the second floor and the room and the walls were thin. Heard the noise in the hallway as well as outside. We could even hear the person in the next room snoring, when the AC cycled off. When the AC was running it did block out most of the other sounds, except in the hallway

The room was clean and comfortable. It was easy to control the temperature. The bathroom was clean and nice sized. Plenty of towels. The room was quiet. The hotel was located near the highway, across the street from a Target and a Panera. Very convenient to DC.

There was no plastic bag for dirty laundry, but that's not a huge deal. The internet was out at the desk when we checked in so they made us fill out a pre-auth form for the $50 incidentals fee. I was uncomfortable leaving all my credit card info on a piece of paper and asked them to shred it, both when I filled it out and upon check out. I still feel uneasy about this. They would not take cash. Another traveller remarked the same when we were taking the elevator to our rooms...too easy for fraud. Could they not have come up later or called once the internet came back up?

The hotel was very beautiful. It's been years since I have stayed at a Holiday Inn. My past opinion of Holiday Inn was that it was a mediocre place to stay without much in the way of aesthetics. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this was not the case at this hotel.

I only had two minor issues with the room I had. (#402) 1. the exhaust fan in the bathroom was constantly on and there was no way to turn it off, so I slept with the bathroom door closed. 2. The diverter on the tub spout did not work properly (the fixtures looked new). Consequently, the shower barely worked because all the water was coming out of the tub facet instead of being diverted to the shower head. I mentioned both issues at checkout and the staff was receptive and made notes.

Room was clean and nicely appointed.

I did not care for the gentleman on duty when I arrived. I did not have a reservation but told him I saw it on booking.com for $90. He said the rate is $99. I asked him to match it and he said no. If I wanted the $90 rate, I could sit down and use the booking.com website. I did so. I stayed at another holiday inn a week ago and they not only matched the price, but gave me a lower rate because of AAA. Your desk clerk said there is no discount for AAA. He was not too friendly.

Hotel was excellent. Very clean.

The staff were inexperienced or non-responsive, and double charged an amount for taxes that was already paid through Booking.com. Obtaining a refund has proved impossible because staff and manager have been non-responsive except Night Auditor who confirmed a refund is due, but again, no follow through. Also, we did not get points for the stay because they did not add our membership number, as requested.

Beautiful hotel! The staff was wonderful and welcoming. The Queen room was spacious enough for my one year old and myself. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our room had a bathtub which was a huge bonus.

Room was located across the hall from conference room. Lots of commotion both nights of our stay. The noise kept my daughter from sleeping. Don't get me wrong, the room was great, but I didn't love the fact the microwave was located so low to the floor and nearly impossible to unplug to relocate. I had to block off the entire shelf to keep her away from it.
