Holiday Inn Express Richmond I-64 Short Pump Area, an IHG Hotel

well when we fitst arrived I had booked from booking.com as pet friendly hotel. i saw where they hold a deposit. but when we git there the girl is like we charge 75.00 extra for a dog. i was like no where did i see that on the site. she apologized and asked me if i wanted a refund. but we had just traveled 10hours. just needed some rest. So i took it. next morning the gentleman who checked me out asked about our stay. i told him same thing I told her and i said my dog is cleaner than people a little frenchie named Gemma. Again he apologized. when i looked at my bill when ee got home he removed the 75. fee. I am so grateful there is still good customer service out there.

Very clean,attentive,accommodating,soft comfortable beds (can I have one PLEASE?)

If any,it’ll be when traveling from pool area have customers dry off before entering the building To avoid any accidental falls.It’s a concern because I’m her.I slipped stepping in wet elevator .Luckily I didn’t fall my jerk and reflux paid off well.Also Note if anyone has a common cold,cough,allergies,stuffed running nose,sneezing please ask them to wear a mask as precaution for others especially in the breakfast area.Last but not least keep sanitation pumps stocked .Please and Thank You!

night staff overcharged me 3 times and was t available when I arrived at 12:30 at night . I had to call her to check me in and then found out she triple charged me and by coincidence my credit card number was being used the next morning at a local Sams Club in Virginia and I was in my room getting ready for a meeting . I received an alert and denied charges , and also had to cancel my credit card . Rebecca was not professional and hopefully she does not scam everyone’s credit card that arrives late a night

It definitely looked more modern than some of the older pictures show. The front desk ‘guy’ was super nice. We checked in, about dinner time - after a very hot, double header in June. One of the few stays where I felt that the price matched with the accommodations (i.e., not an outdated dump, charging $150/night).

Double Queen rooms were a tad on the small side.

The breakfast was amazing, the hotel was clean, everyone was polite, the only problem I had, was housekeeping kept coming to the room, they started at 9:30, and again around 10:30, to the point I called downstairs to make sure check out time was 12:00.

The only thing that could have been better is , housekeeping can knock around 11:15

This is one of the best Hotels I have ever stayed in, Very Clean, very inviting, beds were extremely comfortable. We will Definitely be staying at another Holiday Inn Express when we travel again in the near future.

I have no complaints with our experience, staff was very polite and helpful & couldn't have picked a better hotel experience.

We were on the top floor which was already renovated, so the room felt band new.The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Tiana was particularly amazing. There was some confusion with our reservation but she handled it with such grace and made sure we had a good stay. She had been helping a customer right before us and she really went above and beyond her duties to try to help them too. I also really liked having the option to have the subtle light above the closet. I like having some light on in hotels in case I need to get up in the middle of the night, but the lights are usually too bright at night. The light above the closet made a nice night light.

It’s pet friendly! You couldn’t ask for a better hotel that is reasonably priced and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and beds so comfortable!! Very well lit up outside at night. So walking your dog is ok. Breakfast was included and was absolutely delicious! There were many items to choose from hot or cold. The staff were very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Other than the elevators being under construction, I have nothing bad to say. Since we had a dog, we were assigned a first floor room. They were limited in choice of rooms on the first floor, but they were able to accommodate us.

Internet wifi would not work with my laptop but was OK with my tablet. Television had a lot of interference on several channels due to what looked like insufficient bandwidth; also some channels did not connect. The frame-type LCD lighting around bathroom mirror was annoying, as the brightness couldn't be adjusted down, just all on or all off.

The hotel is undergoing renovations, and the room I had on the third floor clearly was newly remodeled. You could even smell the new carpet! The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean and the bathroom was fully stocked with shampoo, body wash and conditioner. Oh, did I mention that you have a Keirug in the room? I would absolutely stay at this hotel again the next time I need to stop the night in Richmond. Also there’s a plus that OCharleys is a stones throw away for dinner. Also, the gentleman at the front desk as check in was extremely nice and helpful!

The elevator was down due to property renovations, but I didn’t find it too bad of an inconvenience.
