Holiday Inn Express Woodstock-Shenandoah Valley, an IHG Hotel

It was very clean & the staff in the morning specifically was very nice. The breakfast was good too even though the first morning they didn’t have hot breakfast we still made do.

I got charged $20 for something and they didn’t tell me why. They also asked me a bunch of times why I was staying with them. I got there at 9pm after driving 10 hours the last thing I need to keep saying is why i’m there. I also asked for a receipt to see what I possibly could’ve gotten charged for and their immediate response was “booking.com will send you one” like why can’t they ?

It was not horrible, just not stellar. Relatively decent, relatively clean and staff relatively friendly. Location seemed safe. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean.

The elevator floor had a dried, sticky splatter and the hallway had clogs of dirt both of which stayed on the floor way too long. Our “non-smoking” room smelled of cigarette smoke upon entering and the room was uncomfortably cold upon entering. There were insufficient bath linens for the number of guests. The body soap ran out and the GFI electrical socket in the bathroom was not correctly installed.

Excellent location for a stopover on a drive from MA to NC, clean room, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast time and selection.

The room had one of those pointless quarter-curtains that don’t move to cover the entire window, leaving only a sheer to block the light, which of course it can’t as it is sheer. I employed the Facebook hack of using a couple of hangers to clip the small heavy curtain to the sheer so at least part of the window was covered. They could easily install a blackout curtain behind the sheer, which would solve the problem together.

Breakfast and coffee were satisfying. The beds were sooo comfortable and the size of the room was ok for our family of four. Location was perfect for us and the activities we came out to do. Staff was friendly and accommodating, facilities were clean. I appreciated the heads up about room cleaning and turn down service, it's good to know what to expect during your stay.

Kids were bummed the pool was closed, but it was too early in the year. Not anything the property could have done differently. Restaurant options are limited, unless you want fast food.

Room is comfortable and clean. There is a small fridge, microwave and a k-cup coffeemaker. Staff is pleasant. Nice breakfast, plenty of choices. Rooms easy to get to.

Sink and tub are slow draining. Immediately charged $25 in case you use phone or damage room. It takes days before you see a credit on your account. This is the only hotel we stayed at over two weeks time that adds this charge.

Good location just minutes from downtown. Spacious and light filled lobby and breakfast area. Nice room with a comfy chair and ottoman, desk & chair, fridge, micro, keurig, iron & board, big TV. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Two suggestions: 1) Decaf coffee at the coffee bar. The front desk clerk gave me decaf pods but I had to walk back to my room to use the Keurig. Some people, especially seniors like myself, can only drink decaf for medical reasons. 2)Larger bowls for oatmeal. When I put it in the microwave, it overflowed and most of it spilled out. Otherwise, great free! breakfast

Good continental breakfast, great location, close to many restaurants and Shenandoah National Park! Ample parking

Our bathroom could have used some updating. Rust in the bathtub and on the floor tiles. We stayed here last year and didn't have any issues, which is why we came back this year. It may be that we just got a room that hasn't been updated yet

location right off the highway, gas stations and food right there and the hotel is very clean and has a pool! The staff is also great. I left very early in the morning and the front desk person made a fresh pot of coffee for me!!!

Nice place , clean enough and staff was helpful, not overly friendly.

Breakfast, although they had a fairly large selection, was not great. Not even good but I guess if you're feeding a bunch of kids it's paid for and beats spending 50 dollars at Mc Donald's

Great room. Very clean and very comfortable it was very in a very convenient location. The woman at the front desk at check in gave me a great restaurant to try that delivered to my door. Great experience over all.

Didn’t like tat there was no breakfast ( well you had to order to go), and you had to bring your order form back to front desk by that evening. So many places have figured out how to do buffet style service, they just haven’t. I also couldn’t get my coffee maker to work. They said the cleaning staff probably didn’t put it back together right after cleaning.
