Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Strasburg Shenandoah Valley

Our son lives in Strasburg and we like staying at the Fairfield as it is convenient, the breakfast is good and the rooms are always clean. Of course, recovering from the pandemic, I'm sure staffing has been an issue, but there seemed to be plenty of people to take care of the needs of travelers.

Again - as I have mentioned on other visits there, the pink mold growing in the bathtubs is disturbing, especially to me whose allergies are exacerbated by the presence of mold. A good cleaning with bleach water may take care of the problem as will an additional spray of bleach water after a thorough cleaning would help keep it at bay.

Breakfast was very good, better quality protein choices. Did early checkin online and the room was ready early, thankfully. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Great Italian restaurant right next door, didn't have to drive.

Pool could have been a bit warmer, but that is regulated.

I was there for 10 days. The staff are professional, accommodating, and very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is OK, coffee is good. Can't ask for much more.at this price point. Will definitely stay again when in the valley.

The view of the mountains was only available to suites at one end of the building. I would give an excellent rating if the building was oriented differently. But, it's hard to turn a building 90 degrees!

Breakfast was as good as it could be given it is grab and go. Very nice having water, coffee and tea available all day. Staff very friendly and kept the facility clean. Staff very helpful whenever requests made. A pleasurable stay overall.

Mask enforcement. If you have signs posted than request people in the public spaces, especially the lobby, to mask up. Not a rampant problem by any stretch but when a staff member is engaging a guest and the guest is not wearing a mask, a polite request is doable. I have been in other properties where the pool is open but you must check in with the desk so they can control the #s. Something to consider as we get closer to summer.

Eggs too dry. The apples and oranges were very bad. The problem is NOT the people are working there but the management don't check the status of the kitchen

The Air condition is too noisy There is no air vent in the bathroom

From my window I had slight view of the mountains The breakfast was above average. The dining area was very pleasant. The hotel appearance inside and out was excellent. The small indoor pool was very well maintained.

Very friendly and accessible staff. Front desk was more than helpful and very easy to talk to. They were always asking what we may need or offering to do something for us. It was great! Housekeeping was equally friendly and willing to do whatever we asked to make our stay comfortable. It was a great experience.

I would suggest better lighting above sink in bathroom. It was difficult to see for makeup application

Breakfast was fine. Scrambled eggs with bacon and sausage, oatmeal,toast, bagels, yogurt and cereals.

I, personally, don’t like when the ac goes off and on during the night.

I really appreciated how the front desk went above and beyond for any small request. It was also a breath of fresh air to be greeted with a smile and hello anytime our family brought their chaos through the lobby. Felt welcome and comfortable and I appreciated that for our one vacation a year. Thank you!

Welcoming helpful front desk staff- quickly did an early check in for me Welcoming helpful cleaning staff- helped me figure out TV Wonderful quiet, dark room with comfortable bed, firm mattress- I needed a night off and my room was great Location right off I-81 very helpful- tired after driving more than 6 hours, Food Lion right down the road
