Mt Baker Hotel

Was very impressed with this hotel - stepped into a huge suite with a separate living room and basic kitchenette setup, stocked with coffee and tea. Massive bedroom with a very comfy king size bed. It felt more like an AirBnB apartment than a hotel room. Fantastic for us as we were there three nights and it was wonderful having a more home-like space and a place to crash and watch some TV. Each suite has a decor theme and ours was seaside and it was tasteful and cozy. Staff were professional, welcoming and helpful, even providing information on local restaurants. I know there are some older reviews here that have harsh words about the staff and experience but my understanding is the hotel is under new ownership and management. Please don't let the older reviews dissuade you. This is a really fantastic place for the price. Location in the small town of Concrete is great for accessing both routes into North Cascades.

I really don't have anything negative to say. It was a pleasant surprise how nice it is. A lot of budget motels in high demand areas near national parks charge a ridiculous amount for poor accommodations and this is an exception, with fair prices and thoughtful, nicely appointed suites.

This hotel was more like staying in someone's house than a hotel. It had a nice bedroom, huge bathroom, and a well equipped sitting area. Compared to other hotels on our trip it was a great value. I'd definitely stay there again. It's fairly close to North Cascades National Park which was our destination.

We came in at night and thought we were lost. The main street is tucked behind what looks like an industrial area so it was confusing. Can't really change this though. Maybe we missed a sign for the hotel in the dark? If there's no sign on the main road for the hotel they need one.

The new owners seem like they’re going to really revamp this place in such a wonderful way, the room smelled so nice and clean as soon as we walked in. They truly have some of the nicest lush towels & super soft sheets & bedding. All the linens smelled so good and refreshing! One of the new owners checked us in and was so excited about all the renovations they’re getting ready to move forward with, they also plan to open up a deli in the main lobby here in the future! Super kind people, can’t wait to see what all they do with the place! Only 30 mins from North Cascades National Park on a cute strip of local stores & nearby restaurants. Highly recommend, we will be back on our next adventure!

Incredibly spacious apartment style suites! Rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were getting there later than planned and the front desk called me directly to make plans for getting our keys after the office closed, we were incredibly grateful for the service. There was a nice small grocery store nearby for supplies. Location was perfect for heading into the North Cascades National Park the next day.

Due to time we arrived (around 8 pm on a Sunday) there was nothing open nearby, so plan ahead for food if arriving late.

The room is actually a suite / a little apartment with a living room. There is vintage furniture, tv in every room, a small kitchen with perks like coffee, tea and cider, and a lot of information about the local restaurants and touristic options. The hosts are lovely and very welcoming.

The staff were extremely nice, they are the new owners who’ve been running it for a couple of months, and the rooms were both nice and clean, and also large. The proximity to hiking in the North Cascades as well as Mt Baker was amazing!

The hotel doesn’t have food service yet, and it can be hard to find food in town, but we managed every day!

The property is very clean and staff is amazing! I’ve excepted to have one room with private bathroom, but gotten ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT! Super comfortable and extra super clean. Staff are amazing people who treat you like a family.And price is very affordable for any pocket. Location is great too.

only one small thing-the shower, the stream of water is too wide.

we arrived after the office was closed. the office staff had called and gave us the information needed to find the key and check in info. the envelope we found in the lock box had everything we needed. we checked out before the office opened so did not actually get to meet any staff.

-i almost locked myself out of the room. i did not realize that even though the handle moved, the door was still locked. lucky for me my friend was still in the room and able to let me in. -no dishware, silverware etc. there were some plastic forks, thankfully

The location is excellent to visit North Cascades NP (when there is no wildfire...), the staff is very friendly and responsive. For the affordable price we got a whole 2 bedroom apartment (John Wayne room) with a fully equipped kitchen. I really don't have anything negative to say about this place and we would stay there again.

Good location near.North cascade mountains. Owner was super nice, I arrived late and they were easy to contact and came to great me to see if I needed anything. Place has character, the owner is working hard at upgrading it. It was clean, spacious and comfortable.

Not a problem for me, but note there are stairs to second floor.
