Mt Gardner Inn

We loved everything about Mt Gardner Inn! The cleanest room I've ever stayed for sure. Every detail was thought of and fit the vibe of the room perfectly - we especially loved the white noise machine. The lobby was well-appointed and we were lucky enough to stay at the front of the building which included a covered seating area. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Just so we could have something to say here, my mom mentioned that the shower curtain was a little bit too long, lol :)

Short walk to the heart of downtown Winthrop, much of it along a dedicated walking path. Mt Gardner Inn owners and staff are very service oriented. COVID protocols continue to be in place with an emphasis on limited contacts when checking in and out. Thank you! Online descriptions were detailed and honest - for example we stayed in a room that was identified as being closer to the highway but that the highway was very quiet overnight…correct on both counts. We were able to sleep with the window open overnight and it was quiet with just the occasional vehicle between 11pm and 7am.

Everything was as we expected. No complaints. Would stay here again.

As it turned out, this was an absolutely charming inn. The room was listed as a budget room and i was a bit nervous as it mentioned street noises. We heard nothing but the innkeepers had also thoughtfully provided a sound machine to add white noise if street sounds became a problem. Though seemingly an older property, it was updated, very clean and had lovely decorating details that truly made it. one of a kind stay. The room was small, but had everything needed. The contactless check in and out was seamless and simple. We would return if in the area.

The space was lovely. Large and comfortable with great decor, patio and fireplace. And that bathtub was incredible! The summer switches on the lights help to set a relaxing mood. Thier were gorgeous large windows and a beautiful mountain view. The patio was the perfect place to have wine or coffee while watching sunset or sunrise.

It would have been nice to have better toilet paper. The thin 1 ply paper wasn't consistent with the high end space and fixtures. Also one or two the coffee creamer were bad..made chunks in the coffee. Very small things that don't affect my rating.

Room was well appointed and very clean. Although we did not use it, there was even a sound machine in the room. I’ve never seen that before. The mini fridge had a very large freezer, which we appreciated. Beds were comfortable, sheets were cotton and very soft, and the quilts quaint. Lots of pillows. We would recommend this inn and would stay here again.

We had some slight plumbing issues that the owner assured us were taking care of as soon as we brought them to her attention at check out. Very good communication.

We liked that it was very clean. The kids enjoyed the comfortable beds and pillows. I loved the fireplace (turns on with a light switch). The back patio with a grassy area was lovely. The check-in was simple and straightforward.

The air conditioning unit cycled on and off often, as it should in the summer. It was quite loud and woke me up several times. The neighbors above made their presence known.

Great location, close to the trails, close to the town, walkable. Room is comfortable.

Room that we stayed was reasonably comfortable. Good for winter stay . The window is looking over the parking lot , so if you stay in summer or spring, there is no view or anything. Overall, very nice accommodation. Some rooms are better than others.

It was very clean and convenient and a good value for the money.

The bed claimed to be a queen sized, but it seemed more like a full. The rooms were fairly basic. There appeared to be nobody that worked there, on-site. It didn't cause any Inconvenience. It really did streamline the check in and check out, but it was different.

We rented 2 units, one a fabulous 2nd floor spacious king size unit with vaulted ceiling, sitting area, kitchenette & lovely view & the other was in an older building & was a basic motel unit. The combo of units worked out for our family group. The king size unit in the newer building was really nice.

Smaller unit in older building was rather basic.

The peacefulness, quiet, and relaxing evening spent on the balcony of the room was amazing. Even had wildlife come right into the yard. Best relaxation we had in a while. Thank you so much. In fact, going to book another stay soon.

Would’ve liked to have another option rather than contactless self check in, but the process was efficient, and painless. I just miss seeing real faces and real smiles. 😊
