The cabin we stayed in had a king size bed in the bedroom downstairs with a bathroom across the hall. The king bed was very comfy. The upstairs had a spacious open loft with a queen bed and the second bathroom as well as a separate room with 2 children's beds. Both the rooms upstairs had closets so big, you could easily fit a blowup mattress in them. The cabin had a large deck with a hot tub overlooking the river. The hot tub was large and the water was nice and hot. Cabin was easy walking distance to everything in town and close to trails and the lake. The small river running behind the cabin had a nice little sandy spot for the kids to play in.
A few minor complaints. The queen bed upstairs was quite firm and springy. And the pillows were not any more comfortable. The front door lock required a key, every time we had to open it. We couldn't figure out how to keep it unlocked. This was particularly annoying when packing and unpacking the car. Also the deck is connected to the cabin next to us, with a privacy wall separating them. This is fine for adults, but we briefly lost our toddler and found her in the neighbors cabin! Fortunately no one was home ha ha. Last thing, there is no safe access to the river behind the cabin. This might be on purpose, but getting my kids down and back up the slippery slope full of thorn bushes was not fun. Lots of fun though once your down by the river.

I liked that we were in the cabin at the very end which made it quiet and private on one side of us. It was very quiet at night and we could see lots of stars in the night sky. The hot tub was sooooo nice to have after a day skiing, actually anytime was a good hot tub time! We could watch deer walking along the cliff above the river right outside our back porch. The XC skiing conditions are amazing. The people at the XC skiing information hut were very knowledgable and friendly. The quaint western themed town was right outside our door allowing us to walk around and shop easily. The book store in town is outstanding!! We brought precooked frozen casseroles for our own meals most of the time but went out to the Mexican restaurant, sorry I can't remember the name, the food and service was great. Can't wait to come back next year with another group of friends.
A lot of the stores were closed on Tuesday, Wed and Thursdays. I guess that's because most of the visitors to the town are there on the weekends? It would have been nice to have a full size coffee maker instead of the tiny hotel size. We booked for the first week in March, thank goodness the Methow Valley still had a good snow base. It was difficult waxing for the spring skiing conditions. We would have been better off using wax less skis or skate skis. Despite these spring conditions we had a very enjoyable skiing experience.

We traveled to Winthrop to enjoy a secluded vacation away from the crowds and do some hiking. We stayed in one of the 3 bedroom cabins on the river. It was only my boyfriend and I but we wanted to be able to enjoy the river view! Rivers edge exceeded our expectations. Everything was neat, orderly and clean. We loved being able to enjoy the calmness of the river with the added bonus of the hot tub! We did a late check in, spoke to a very nice lady on the phone who gave us our cabin lock box code. It couldn’t have been easier. The town of Winthrop is adorable! I couldn’t help but thinking while walking around that we picked the best spot to stay :)

The cabin was spacious and clean. The bathroom smelled a little damp but was still clean. The bed could be upgraded for a more restful experience but overall, for the price and location, this place is the ticket.
Didn't like how budget the bed was. Flat with barely any squish, but if you like a firm bed, it would work. Also, the parking area for the single cabins out front was a little tight if there were trucks parked there.

The person at the check in desk was very personable and helpful with suggestions for places to eat etc. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, as was the bed. The kitchen was useful and had the right utensils, although the fridge was a little small. We especially enjoyed warming up by the small propane stove, and the private 2 person hot tub on the deck.
Not much. Perhaps blackout blinds in the bedroom as the window faced East.

The location on the main street was excellent. We were able to walk to so many shops and restaurants. The view of the river was awesome. The space was clean and comfortable. Proximity to hiking was great, and the hot tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking. We loved everything about the cabin and hope to return someday.
There was nothing about the accommodations that we did not like!

-Loved my one-bedroom cabinita at beginning of March! I am already envisioning coming back next winter to stay. I recommend this lodging business. -Location is amazing. You are downtown amongst this charming western town. Walking or biking from here was super easy. Xc ski trails were either a 10 minute walk away or as far as a 20 minute drive; lots of close options. -Quiet. Stayed during week so not many other lodgers and town wakes up slowly. -I used the hot tub (two-person) on my back deck every morning and evening to ease my muscles from xc skiing. Although my cabinta back deck was not directly overlooking the river like the two- or three-bedroom cabins, I could clearly hear it and the trees and open night sky were nice scenery. -Bed and sheets were comfy. I slept amazing. -Good shower pressure and temperature. -The propane wood stove was a lovely touch to heat the room and added such ambiance. I used it frequently. -The kitchenette in my one-bedroom cabinta was well stocked and useable. The kitchenette was almost a true kitchen except no stove or no dishwasher. One evening I had 3 friends over for chili dinner, so it was nice to have a functioning kitchen and space to entertain.
-My one-bedroom cabinita did not come with a ceiling fan, nor a standing fan. I did bring my own 9-inch traveling fan for better room air circulation.

Great location close to downtown Winthrop, river right at the back, and very relaxing. The place was clean and neat when we arrived, immaculate. The lady at check-in was very nice and accommodating. It was nice to have the check-out be later in the morning than usual as we (three friends) had a chance to chat and solve the worlds problems on the deck. We all agreed we’d come back and I and the others look forward to coming back with extended family.
The bed in the master was a little soft for me.

The cabin was in a great location along the river and just steps away from the quaint town. The cabin was comfortable with heat/air and an outside hot tub.
There was nothing to dislike. The stay did not include breakfast, but the kitchen was sufficient to cook in and there were several good places to eat nearby.
