A beautiful place far away from everything. We got lost trying to get there but our host was gracious and gave us good and accurate directions on how to get there when we called in a panic. The place IS remote and is accessed by steep mountain roads. If you are unfamiliar with the location I would not try driving there after dark. Especially for city slickers like myself. In the daylight the views and drive to the location are nothing short of spectacular. The hosts were great. The B & B is in a remote location and there is no access to food. Our hostess prepared us a nice dinner with most of the ingredients coming from their self sustaining farm. (She made are great breakfast as well and my wife got to eat a quail egg for the first time. ) The dinner deserts we wonderful, apple pie made by our hostess and cherry pie made by her daughter. We also purchased their home made maple syrup. Many of the products they produce are available for purchase. The next morning our hostess gave us precise directions to our next destination, (Blackwater State Park), and recommendations as to what to see.
There should be more signage, especially on the back country roads, so that people who are unfamiliar with the area know where the turns are and can drive with confidence knowing they haven't missed and important turn. There is NO GPS or cell phone coverage so if you get lost you have no resource to get back on track again.

The setting is beautiful and the host was very nice. We enjoyed some quiet time while we were in Dryfork. The breakfast was good. We plan on returning. The host offers dinner and lunch options because there are few restaurants in the area. We did not take her up on that this time around, but we likely will in the future.
We were glad we asked in advance about streaming Netflix or other content. When we were told that the internet connection is too limited to support streaming, we were able to download shows in advance for offline viewing. The sauna is currently under renovation and should not be advertised as an amenity on Booking.com.

Property is amazing, especially for people who loves nature and animals. Property is located in the middle of beautiful West Virginia mountains, once you are there you don’t even need to drive anywhere, you can run/exercise/walk/hike and etc. all around from the property. They have everything, even sauna and beautiful river to jump in! Hostess and all people at the farm are super friendly and nice. Hostess makes exceptional food as many times as you need (breakfast included, other meals are for simbolic price). Most of the products are from their own farm. Room was very cosy, super clean and big with all amenities.
There was nothing to not like, property was perfect!

The Laurel River Club B&B is a beautiful farm hidden in a peaceful valley in northeastern West Virginia. The scenery is spectacular. Marsha and Kendall, our hosts, couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable, and my wife and I had the best sleep we've had in a long time. Breakfast was delicious. The property had just hosted a reunion when we arrived, so rather than have us drive quite a ways to a restaurant for dinner, Marsha prepared us two plates from the leftovers! We can't rate this B&B highly enough, and we can't wait to be back!

It’s a characterful Victorian farmhouse in on a working farm in a beautiful remote valley by a river. My idea of paradise. Our hosts were lovely and really did make us feel like part of the family while we were there. The home cooked dinners and breakfasts were also great and save a longish drive (20 mins) to nearest restaurants in Canaan valley.

This was our first time in an American b&b so weren’t sure what to expect. We were not disappointed. It was more like a home stay as you share communal spaces with the family. This made the stay more interesting as we got to chat with the family. Our host was also really helpful and cooked us dinner as the property is a distance from eateries. The house is positioned in a beautiful spot next to the river and is so peaceful. It was a lovely stay.

Hosts were genuine down to earth people. So friendly and welcoming. We became part of the family for a day. :) Ask for a tour from their daughter and a falconry session from their son!
A little hard to find so don’t rely on GPS

The home is absolutely charming. Built in 1905, it has a victorian, farmhouse vibe. It is warm, quaint, and comfortable. The host family is wonderful. We played board games with them and some of the other guests the first night. The next morning we woke to a wonderful breakfast and then was treated to a tour of the grounds. They have chickens, pigs, horses, mules, dogs, and cats. The river that runs alongside the estate is absolutely beautiful. There are also some remnants from the past as the estate used to be a logging town with over 800 residents and 300 structures. Later that afternoon, we went on a squirrel hunting excursion with one of the best Falconers in the state and his Red-Tailed Halk. It was amazing!

The room and bathroom was fantastic, it was so quiet and so relaxing, the bedroom was huge! We had dinner, fresh trout from the nearby river - incredibly good! We brought our own wine, which they put in the fridge. At night we sat with the hostess by the bonfire at the river - looking at the stars, exchanging experiences. All i all - it was an amazing experience. We had fresh eggs in the morning - you can not get eggs any fresher than that - some feats from the hen garden.

Hosts were excellent, very warm and welcoming. Nice escape from the city life, as their place is pretty deep in the country. Also, loved the farm animals and the homemade breakfast Marsha cooks!
Keep in mind, others are staying in the house, so it's not super quiet (i.e. You hear folks at night, depending on your bed time, and early hours of day). But that's part of staying at a B&B.
