Holiday Inn Express & Suites Racine, an IHG Hotel

Location is a street away off of the busy Main Street, room is spacious clean with all amenities as described.

Pool is really small, no hot tub Staff was rude when I asked about directions out of Racine towards Madison not to go through Milwaukee and as I came back to her after 5 min with the same questions she mumbled not again!! The least she could say- I don’t know, but not to let me hear her frustration Please have some respectful customer service personnel and let them know they can say I don’t know when they don’t know and not show their rudeness The smoking bench right outside the front hotel entry, why!! Smoking should a little farther in the back

I arrived at the hotel at 2:30 and was told I could not check in early. I told the person that I did not need to get in to the room but just wanted to check in so I could go about my day. The answer was no. I waited in the lobby till the 3:00 check in time. By that time the lobby was full of guests that were waiting to check in. Although I was the first guest in the lobby I had to wait till in line after several guests who had arrived after I did. I have stayed at this property before and never had to deal with this. I had made a reservation and paid for a room so I was baffled as to the strange process.

The beds are super comfortable and the charging plug-ins much appreciated. The breakfast was okay although mostly anything hot was all microwaveable food...but it was free! It was much appreciated that the whole family was allowed to mingle and eat our take-out dinner together in the lobby eating area. It was also nice for the kids when they were given an extra 1/2 hour in the pool when the folks who had reserved that time cancelled.

The hard floors in the entryway and by the bathroom (and maybe all the floors) are really thin. One of the teenagers is just kind of a hard walker and the person below complained about stomping above. (could have been a $250 fee added to the bill)It's pretty hard to enjoy a stay when you have to tip-toe around your room. I would not have mentioned it but it happened at another Holiday Inn Express in another location on the trip as well.

The breakfast was good - don't change this or you'll lose customers. The shower was nice.

TV remote didn't work well. Too much road noise filtered in. The refrigerator and the a/c & heat was a bit noisy during the night. The bed pillows were too soft.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a good variety of different foods.

The room echoes when you talk. The cable tv also went out frequently.

The breakfast was awesome. Loved that there was Turkey sausage. The front desk lady who worked second shift was great and the lady running the breakfast was nice.

Everything was great. No complaints

The Cleaning could be done better, one day they didn't leave toilet paper.

Breakfast was great and served rather than buffet. The person that cooked/served the meal was above and beyond great! The front desk man was also the best - recommendations of things to do/where to go for dinner options was tremendous! Great stop if traveling further west as we were:) We will keep this one our list.

Great location just off the I94 and close to restaurants. Very quiet considering the hotel was full.

Breakfast was okay but not great. Coffee was good but I like a more robust flavor.

The breakfast was very good. Had to wait for the pancakes but they were worth the wait. The receptionist was able to change us to a 2-queen instead of a king without a problem

The elevator door closed way too quickly
