Best Western Spooner Riverplace

The is small hotel with great amentities., I stay in hotels many times throughout the year. Although this is a small hotel, it seems to have a good amount of staff compared to other hotels. I didn't use the pool/hot tub areas, but the area was clean as well as the breakfast room. The breakfast room was busy and the workers would bring more food out as needed. They had many options for breakfast...including cheese omelettes, eggs, bacon, waffles, donuts, bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, oatmeal... The room was very nice and clean with a view of the river. There was a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave in my room. Great place to stay for couples or families.

Selection of breakfast items were great - it would be nice to have a different selection every other day.

We were in room 201 right above the dining section - every morning we woke up to some type of loud sound that lasted for a long time. On our final morning we inquired what the sound was and we were told it was the coffee brewing machine. We would not stay in that room again.

We were placed in a room with a hot tub, the hot tubs take up most of the room and the smell of the cleaning agent used to clean them is strong and that’s all you smell when I’m the room. definitely did not use the tub and would recommend removing those altogether. they are smelly and take up a lot of room, would rather have a couch or kitchenette… just a thought. otherwise wonderful stay and will definitely return next year!

The staff went out of there way to make me comfortable. I had a long day and just wanted to go to my room and watch tv. Unfortunately, the cable tv was out of service to the building, the staff upgraded the room to a river view. It was ok, but really didn’t replace tv service, upon check out they discounted the room. It was a very comfortable room! Received a gift bag at check in.

Well cable tv was out, I was told about it as I checked in. They had me on the 2ed floor with no elevator. However, the staff upgraded me to a first floor river view room.

Pool and hot tub were very attractive looking. Good breakfast. Lots of options

Some confusion over room. We booked river view on bookings but hotel did not have that on their order. Gave us river view finally but it was pet room which was ok

The location was perfect for our vacation, we had a great time. The breakfast was great, plenty of selection and great choices both hot and cold!

The pool and hot tub are nice and breakfast was good. We could walk to the restaurant and store. We were only 7 miles away from Shell Lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The bed was not very comfortable.

Clean, comfortable beds. Great staff. Great breakfast.

Stain on carpet. Low to ground toilet. Needed another blanket on bed. Just had a sheet and very thin coverlet.

Breakfast was very good, lots of variety.

Toilets are so low I could not get up. I strained my shoulder have to lift myself up using the bathtub.

The location was perfect for our travels. The room was comfortable and quiet. The view of the water next to the property was outstanding. The breakfast was very good.

We would have liked to have had the use of an elevator since we stayed on the 2nd floor. Maybe I'm just lazy in my old age!
