I really enjoyed my stay, travelling alone on a road trip to fill a gap in schedules. Great fun place, my room was in the newish area but was still characterful, quiet and quite luxurious.. Dinner was interesting, quite an impressive dining room and a real experience. Breakfast ditto. Restaurant staff friendly and cheerful.. thanks they made me smile.. The gunfight was more for kids but was a bit of fun, all good and the bar after was quite wild.. good live music.. I recommend this hotel.. Parking easy, all the hotel staff were lovely and good fun, I really thought I had met Buffalo Bill in person when I came down for breakfast..

Stay at the Irma Hotel if you're in Cody, WY! It has great character and ambiance. We had a huge room with 2 queen beds, antique dresser, table, TV, refrigerator, and pretty large bathroom for a hotel room. There was a sink in the bedroom in addition to the sink in the bathroom! That's a bonus in my opinion! We loved the space. Beds were comfortable, and the a/c and refrigerator worked well. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and it too was bragworthy. The food was great, and the decor was amazing with pictures of Buffalo Bill and other notable Cody residents, along with numerous elk, deer, moose, and bull heads along the walls. Also, the beautiful cherry bar gifted to Buffalo Bill by the Queen of England is in the dinning room along the wall. I highly recommend you stay here if you can, or at least have a meal there. It's worth it!

Only downside was the lack of an elevator, and a convoluted layout. It was a little tricky figuring out where our room was and the beat door to use going in & out.

The historical aspect of the hotel is fascinating. The pictures and other memorabilia are amazing. We were there to fly fish in a drift boat and the company was right across the street!

We had a window that opened to a deck that many people were using which required us to close the shades. The rooms in the old part of the hotel are not well insulated for sound so you hear a lot of activity. That said it cannot be expected that a hotel over 100 years old would reflect modern values. Despite these issues this hotel is well worth a visit!

The hotel is full of character and we loved this - though this meant that the rooms had been preserved in the old fashioned style (so the rooms were not quite as comfortable as most modern hotels). The history of the hotel is important and we enjoyed this. We used the restaurant for breakfast (price not included) and we thought this was excellent. The location in the town centre was very good.

The rooms seemed a little shabby but this is consistent with the style of the hotel. One of the (two) rooms had no windows. Price was not cheap - you pay for the sense of history.

We stayed in a historical room (king room), so we had a very large room. It should be noted that the other historical rooms are not this expansive. Fridge, cleanliness, location (right in the downtown), restaurant, historical room, nice buffet for the price (not a 5 star meal, but also not a 5 star price), air conditioning, the windows did open, storage options in room, couch, tv, large bathroom, free parking, comfortable bed and pillows, could even walk to Buffalo Bill Museum if you wanted to.

Top 5 worst showers I have ever been in. It's hard to make a clawfoot tub work without getting water everywhere, and while they tried, it was a HUGE fail. You couldn't escape the rain shower head from up above and then curtain attacked you from all sides the entire time. Not a deal breaker, but I would be remiss not to mention how bad it was. Would have liked a small microwave in room. Windows opened, but had to be propped because the ropes were broken. Gunfight show was HORRIBLE!!!! What a train wreck. Don't waste your time.

The Irma has an incredible amount of character as it has been around since 1902. It exudes history. The Irma Restaurant has great food for all meal, especially supper which specializes in a Prime Rib and Barbecued Buffalo Ribs! Whenever I am anywhere near we are staying here! The Cody downtown is filled with great shops within walking distance and the most incredible Wild Bill Cody Museum is only a couple minute drive away. To see everything could easily take two days.

The main thing that we definitely did not like was having to leave.

A person could not go to Cody, WY and not stay in a historical place such as the Irma Hotel. The history surrounding the hotel was fascinating and our room was like stepping back in time. We were fortunate to book the Irma Suite. A beautiful room dedicated to Buffalo Bill's daughter, Irma. Although the room overlooked the main street of Cody, it was surprisingly quiet. A very nice place to stay.

The history of the place. Good restaurant and bar and lots of taxidermy to see. Excellent location in the heart of Cody.

I stayed in the "old" side. The claw-foot tub/shower is a nice concept, but the curtain made it too dark and there is no place for the soap/shampoo/conditioner. The grab bar is behind the curtain and on the wall behind you, so climbing out of the claw-foot tub/shower was slippery and dicey.

Cute, fun, great location! The food down at the restaurant was just as good as the reviews suggested. Staff was practical and fun. The hotel was built in 1902 and it has all of the charm and creaks of an old building. It is history at every level!

There was a mix-up with our reservation and we didn't end up getting the room we requested. One of the rooms that was reserved hadn't been cleaned (we booked three) so they put us in another for the evening.

The location is great, the bar is good with a good variety of beers and spirits available. Great atmosphere and a fun gunfight show outside every night. I enjoyed my stay there

Rooms are a bit too expensive for what they are, I guess your paying for the privilege of staying in wild bills hotel.
