Pelican Cove Apartments

Location is good. Close to the Broadwater but quiet. Pool complex is great. Apartment we stayed had only recently been put into letting pool so was well maintained. Updated bathrooms and kitchen appliances. Outlook from living area is lovely with a view over pool area and the canal.

Lack of elevator means walks up steep stairs from carpark. Luckily we were on ground floor. Would not like to have to carry suitcases to 3rd floor. While crockery and cutlery were good, glassware was a bit random. TV system was complicated and not easy to use. Carparking spaces are a bit tight for larger cars.

We chose this property based on its location and price. We were visiting family and needed to be within driving distance of where they lived a little further north. The grounds and the setting for this property are just lovely. Extremely well maintained gardens, paths and common areas - everything was immaculate. The pool area and the bbqs were also exceptionally clean and well maintained. Apartments are individually owned and therefore furnishings etc will vary - be aware that this complex is far from brand new and the decor reflects that. This was not a problem for us. We were allocated an apartment on the second floor - this had a decent sized living area, with a small kitchen and a dining area within the open plan space. The bedroom was also well sized, with a comfortable bed and mattress. The ensuite was clean with a large shower and double vanity. View from our living room balcony looked across the pools, the gardens and the canal. Staff on check in and check out were very friendly and helpful, recommending a nearby pub and other amenities. Local IGA is a short walk away. Would definitely recommend this property - it is suitable for families and couples seeking clean affordable accommodation on the Gold Coast.

The pillows have seen better days. Some basic pantry amenities (oil, salt, pepper, paper towel etc) would have been welcome

Lovely staff, easy booking process and communication, reasonably priced, good location, nice and quiet when we were there, beautiful outlook overlooking pool and canal - we even saw 2 dolphins in the water from the balcony. Great facilities, great size apartment and having the 2 bathrooms and laundry facilities in apartment was a bonus.

No major concerns. Accommodation is a little dated but perfectly functional, very comfortable and good value. Could do with a grab rail in main bathroom to aid stepping into shower over bath.

Location, facilities, gardens and layout. Beautiful and peaceful outlook.

Air conditioner was a health risk…black inside. Ensuite shower: water puddles at the door where you get out, making it a bit dangerous. The bed in main room: the bottom sheet stopped 2/3rds of the way down the bed, making it short? Maybe more dish cloths and extra garbage bags. Some milk would have been nice to have a cuppa when we arrived - not a very warm welcome.

Loved this accommodation! The location in terms of right next to the water on both sides was just amazing, and the actual apartment was so lovely we could have lived there especially with the set up with the pool etc. The apartments are all individually owned so not sure how they would differ but ours was great. Well equipped kitchen etc

The stairs, we had a top floor apartment which was great once you were there but walking up and down the stairs was killer especially when unpacking the car that was no where near the apartment or the door to the stairs. Location in terms of getting around isn't super convenient but didn't bother us because we had our car.

Check in and out was effortless even though it was after and before hours. Was able to make contact easily and was supported with my questions. The apartment was great and as a family of 5 didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The pool was a huge hit with the kids and the view was wonderful. Was everything we could ask for and we were able to cook meals with all the facilities.

A few extra towels would have been handy but we were able to wash and dry what we had available to us.

The outside facilities were lovely and clean, and the reception has a vast range of flyers for things to see and do at the GC. It was a quiet place for the size of it which was also great. The room sizes are great, plenty of space for a large family.

The room was a bit tired. Peeling ceiling, the worst shower door (accident waiting to happen) we've ever come across. Very low and super sunken in mattress (main bedroom). No locks on the windows, but signs in the room saying lock them when not in the room. Insufficient coat hangers for a family of 6. No cleaning products provided, bench spray, dishwasher tablets and only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for 7 days. Parking was tricky with a larger car, we needed to park on the street, which was ok but the problem was there was no space as there were clearly a lot of locals parking on the street which meant we couldn't park close.

Handy to everywhere we wanted to go. Great to have an apartment for a family so not having to eat out all the time. Great communal BBQ area. Nice to have a library to grab something to read by the pool side. Staff were helpful in booking entry tickets to parks and on First Aid when one of our family members cut themselves.

Was obvious it was someone's place as there were people's items left in cupboard and on the balcony. Second bathroom attached to the bedroom smelt like feet so we didn't end up using it. Shower in bathroom we used would leak through the shower screen onto the floor every time.

Great location, short drive to Harbourtown, nearby shops, amenities and beach. All staff and residents friendly w welcomed banter. Pools are lovely and big enough to fit everyone. Secure underground parking. Spacious apartments. Fully self-contained so no need to bring anything. Lovely outdoor bbq area overlooking canal. Location is away from the busier parts of town so perfect for families or those seeking a quiet/easy going location. We travel to the GC multiple times every year and try to stay in different places each time. This was one of the more relaxing, quiet spots.

Nothing in particular, but to nit pick, there are no elevators for upper level rooms and loungeroom blinds are not blockout so be mindful for privacy purposes.
