Hyatt Regency Calgary

. The check in was out standing... so friendly.. the concierge offered to take the suitcases upstairs while we parked our car in the underground parking. Cucumber lemon water in lobby to refresh you with the summer heat it was sooo good. The room was very clean..large bathroom with 65 inch TV in room which is a nice feature... nice view of Calgary skyline and we had breakfast in the Thompsons restaurant which was soooo good.

Just paying 32.00 to park .a discount rate would of been helpful but still was great having secure underground parking

We were only in town for a night, and this hotel was everything we hoped it would be. Easy check-in, private parking, super comfy bed, great bathroom (with a view of the Calgary Tower). So clean and well appointed. Sadly, we didn't have time to use the pool/ hot tub, but it was beautifully kept as well. I can't say enough about the breakfast. My husband opted for pancakes (which were the size of a plate), and I went for the tater tot bowl with duck confit, cheese curds, and an egg topped with hollandaise sauce. Perfection. The hotel is located about 2 blocks from the Calgary Tower, and there's plenty of nightlife to enjoy in the immediate area. (Pictures are the view from our room & bathroom on the 10th floor)

That we couldn't stay longer!

Staff were great, helped us to switch to different room with a better view. Location is great: super close to restaurants, transits, attractions, etc. Clean large rooms, modern bathrooms great shower, super comfy beds, we were on 10th floor and view to downtown Calgary was spectacular. The pool and fitness room is on 18th floor, has awesome view to the city and Calgary tower. Loved the gym, decent exercise options and tools. Very good stay, kids loved it.

All the extra fees and daily parking fee and no breakfast included, unless paying more. Pool floor surface was kinda too rough, both our kids got a couple of cuts on bottom of their feet, wasn't bad but hurt.

Proximity of the Hyatt Regency to Calgary's Stephen Avenue and the downtown core. Also, it is only a block north of the Calgary Tower and you have the local city Calgary train service to get to other parts of the city. The walkability score for this location is excellent, especially for anyone visiting Calgary for the first time. Google maps will have photos of this location for more information.

If you are driving, the street where the Hyatt is located can get busy at times. This is expected since the Hyatt is located in the downtown core.

The hotel is quite luxurious and very well located. The a la carte breakfast was quite ok. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Furthermore the room was clean and had a tap with filtered water.

The all-in breakfast for 40-45 dollar was too expensive and the quality of the food was "medium". The moment we were staying in the hotel there was quite a lot of smog from forestfires. Unfortunately the air was not that well filtered in the hotel making the whole hotel smell like smoke. Detail: the hotel doesn't look that well from outside.

We were treated to the 19th floor room 1927 and absolutely were thrilled with the room and its views. The modern and comfortable decor was amazing. Can’t say enough good things about your property. We were greeted by Jun at front desk and he was very professional and pleasant to deal with. Thank you for making our anniversary getaway fantastic!

It’s beyond the control of the property and more a reflection of downtown Calgary’s current state. But there are a lot of homeless folks in the area.

Our room was perfect for our long weekend stay. The bed was very comfortable. The couch provided an extra place to relax. The hotel restaurant was amazing! We enjoyed breakfasts and one evening meal there and were never disappointed. The downtown location was so convenient for everything we wanted to do and see there. Lots of restaurants in the area, too.

There was a little mix-up with our parking, but the staff immediately handled it in a courteous, professional manner.

The location. it is just a minutes away from the Calgary Tower. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel. also the on-site restaurant is also great.

Our check in time was at 3pm, we arrived at 1.30 pm and requested for early check in and they asked us to either pay $30 or come back again at 2.30 pm. I never had such and experience with any hotel chain. at the checkout time, I realised I was charged for parking for three nights while I only used the parking for one day (2 hours). fortunately they rectified the bill. The water in the bathtub was leaking, requested them to fixed it and it took them two days and few reminders to fix it. Having said all that rest of the stay was pleasant and staff members (except for the first one) were very courteous.

The location was great as I attended otafest 2023 which was just a block away. I could walk to the festival and head back to the room when I needed a break from the crowds. The little coffee shop was perfect to have in the morning to go and grab breakfast and tea/coffee. Able to watch Netflix was great since I don't watch TV shows anymore. We had a very smoky May, and in the room, I never smelled any smoke. It was well ventilated.

This property is centrally located with lots of shops, dining, and transportation. The 18th floor pool/hot tub have amazing views and the hotel restaurant had the best fish and chips I’ve had in a while. The staff were really exceptional. From the moment we arrived we were treated like VIPs. From valets to housekeeping everyone was great. We had a corner king room that was spacious and comfortable. Overall terrific stay!

The only draw back is the CTrain runs right next to the hotel. Very convenient for transport but we could hear it in the room.
