Lacombe Motor Inn

The complementary breakfast was to die for! I drink my coffee black and the coffee was exemplary! A very nice meal indeed! The staff were excellent! Frankie the night clerk/bartender mad me feel welcome and the service was excellent! I would go back in a heartbeat for that alone! Unfortunately, while the bed and pillows were extraordinarily comfortable, I was surprised by the trains! The tracks are so close by! Who knew! Also, I’m not sure if it’s something all the time, but I noticed a musty almost mildew smell in the hallways, not in my room thankfully. All in all, it was great! Next time I’ll bring my earplugs!

I was surprised a breakfast was included. The restaurant was clean, the service was fantastic and we were served a great eggs bacon and toast breakfast. So much better than the chain hotels.

The only complaint I can think of is the 2 ladies at the front desk were discussing someone else's billing while checking me in, instead of focusing on the guest standing in front of them. A bit rude and I had my daughter in the car waiting in 32 C heat with a crying baby. They could have been more efficient and talked about the other topic when I was gone.

Offered a coupon for a full egg breakfast. Was delicious and great service provided in the restaurant. Observed the cleaning procedures of housekeeping staff in another room and they were very thorough in their procedures. Important while still being worried about Covid.

Everything was what we expected but some people might not be pleased with a nearby train going through town in the middle of the night. It did not bother us at all.

When I checked in, I discovered that my room was on the second floor, only accessible by several flights of stairs. I recently broke both of my wrists & asked Nathalie, the woman on the reception desk if I might be able to have a room on the main floor instead. She so kindly found me another room on the main floor which was close to the door where I parked so I wouldn't have to carry my bags so far. She told me the room wasn't as nice as the room on the second floor, but it was just fine for me, no problems at all. Also, the breakfast was wonderful. It was also right beside a large grocery store which was handy.

Evening service in the restaurant could have been better. The waitress could not tell us what beer was available and wouldn’t get a list. Otherwise OK though and she was at least pleasant.

The food in the restaurant was amazing. If you subtracted the cost of the breakfast that came free with the room the room was less than $50. Their cinnamon buns heavenly The staff in both hotel and restaurant were friendly helpful and appeared to like their jobs

The lack of elevator

It was a great price. Close to the main parts of town. Breakfast was good.

I found the bed to be very firm so it wasn't very comfortable for me.

The breakfast was amazing! Such a great deal. Toast, eggs, bacon and hash browns for FREE! Customer service was incredible. Our door wouldn’t open after breakfast and the owner came right away to fix it so we could leave.

Nice hotel. All was ok. Staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. Had 1 request and was fulfilled by staff.

Bed was hard
