Comfort Inn & Suites Red Deer

Loved the top floor room, the staff were very helpful after an initial mix up. Pool was fun, breakfast was tasty on the second day (and completely abandoned service/ lack of food on the first day), the room was clean, lots of spots teams but they were all courteous.

The downstairs room by the lobby was loud (could hear the doors opening and closing and conversations at check in), dark, low ceiling, view of the dumpster and smoke break area of another business out the window. I kindly asked to be moved and they were so very helpful with finding me an amazing room ( bright, airy, open) with a view on the top floor. Lack of service in the breakfast area on the first day of our stay. No food refills for over 45 mins, really messy, most people just complained, grabbed cereal and left as they were in a rush to get to games. It's like they were short staffed or completely forgot or something. The second day everything in the breakfast was great!

The hotel was nice and clean. The staff were really friendly when I came in. I had two dogs and it was easy to get a pet friendly room. The kids really enjoyed the waterslide and the pool. The breakfast was really great! Almost better than I expected. There was yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, tons of different breads and donuts, cereal, bacon, eggs, these yummy mini pancakes, make your own waffles, and juice. They had coffee with all the fixings. Different kinds of creamers and sugar. I most definitely would stay here again

Pool and rooms and friendly staff

The breakfast arrangement was terrible. Many people showed up 30 minutes before breakfast closed and there was hardly any food. When the cook made more, it wasn't nearly enough and again people had to wait. We barely got any food. There were not enough seats either. Putting the waffle maker between the line up and the hot food is not a good idea either. People were just waiting for the waffle makers to finish, not wanting to be rude and walk past them to the hot foods. This issue added to the problem.

We have stayed at this comfort inn many times but not in recent years. It was nice to see all the lovely renovations.. only downsize that I'm sure many are sharing. The covid restrictions didn't allow us to use the pool. My granddaughters could not use the pool as they only have 1 vaccine. (allergy reaction) But I will be staying there again. Kudos go out to the lovely lady in the breakfast room who was so kind & friendly. She let me stay a little longer to make my granddaughters waffles(that was a big hit with them.)

The covid restrictions but that isn't the fault of the Hotel. & I found the room a little cold at first.

The lady at the entrance was very friendly, the rooms were spotless, super clean, the sheets they did smell like clean, we brought our daughter to the pool and the pool was as well very clean and super fun for the kids. The breakfast had lots of options, nothing bad to say for our stay, just good thigs. I do recommend this place to stay.

1. No decaf options for coffee 2. Pork in the egg mixture as an omlet. At least have eggs just on their own. Not everyone consumes pork like us. 3.urine on floor in front of toilet 4.Had to call front desk at midnight to complain of people above us banging on the floor dropping stuff and running around (baseball team). I didn't get much sleep even after the call I made..it just continued.

It’s just off hi-way 2, close to several restaurants, has a hot breakfast with ham and bacon etc, so you feel you’ve had a meal rather than just gluten stuff in a bag. The entire staff are great; Jenna and the ladies cooking in the morning are awesome!! The beds are comfortable and clean. The Inn has two washers, two dryers; two loonies each on the second floor. I’d stay again.

This Inn needed to have been built with more soundproofing between floors! Those little kids upstairs sure made a ruckus when they arrived at 10:30pm. Wow...who would have guessed they needed to burn off so much energy!! Other than that, the stay was great.

Incredible staff that were very accommodating. Check in and out was very quick. Facilities were clean and had more space than other accessible hotel rooms we had stayed in. We could even get the wheelchair under the bathroom sink/ counter. We didn’t get a chance to try the pool or fitness center but they seemed very nice and were at capacity. The continental breakfast was good considering the pandemic restrictions and a non contact “grab bag” option was also offered. The accessible room has a roll in shower with no step that has lowered controls and additional grab bars.

Parking lot was under construction and thus all of the parking was being used. There was some people parked in handicap parking that did not have placards and probably should not have been. That is out of control of the hotel. However, usually there is a shower bench available and there was not one for this stay. The manager apologized as she could not find where they had been stored. Additionally, the shower in the accessible room, while it is a roll in shower, is a shower head about 6’ from the ground making it difficult for use in a wheelchair without assistance. The manager said she would look into getting some shower wands installed in the accessible rooms in the future.

The staff was soooo friendly!!! The beds were very comfy, the rooms were well laid out, super clean and temperature was always perfect. Parking was well lit and lots of space. We didn’t stay long, we wished we could have stayed longer though!!

We had some noisy stompers in the room above us but wasn’t too bad!

We arrived after midnight and were welcomed warmly. All our requests were accommodated. We were missing the cot in our room but it was quickly remedied. Beds were the most comfortable hotel beds! Rooms were clean (and I’m super picky when it comes to clean!). Hot breakfast in the morning was delicious and a welcomed change from the bagged breakfasts we had at other hotels - even post Covid restrictions

I would have to really stretch to come up with something we didn’t like at this hotel! If I had anything to say could be improved it would be that it would have been nice to have access to hand sanitizer at the breakfast buffet.
